Food came out in a prompt manner and it was really good.
Disappointed, no oysters because they said they were seasonal but a couple other restaurants have them. So second thing I ordered voodoo fires...nope it was 12:30 and the efftoule wasn't made yet... Just got a couple appetizers and left. Our waitress was very sweet....
I went to La Four's the other day and enjoyed boudin balls (yummy!) and crab cakes with tasty lemonade. My son enjoyed shrimp gumbo and shrimp and grits. We plan to return soon to further explore the menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is very reminiscent of Cajun restaurants on the Texas/Louisiana border.
Absolutely excellent!!! The food was exceptional, will allow you to get creative with the dish you choose and the service was beyond anything I have experienced. Each one of staff will take their time to assure you are serviced and happy. The reviews on Google do not give it justice! ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
What a great place to eat! Had the Fried Shrimp Dinner last Sunday. Nice sized shrimp, great hush puppies and tasty pinto beans.A beautiful example of a family run business. Their service is top notch.
The service was good and the seafood was as well. We got catfish and the seafood platter. The sides weren’t.. the gumbo had old tasting shrimp, the rice had no seasoning, the zucchini was over cooked and the green beans were canned and not enjoyable. A bummer because the proteins were great
Really disappointing. First time we went, I had the shrimp & grits - shrimp was decent size and grits were good, asparagus was cooked properly. Boyfriend had lobster risotto and it was absolutely delicious. Service was terrible and I support family businesses but it’s very much like a daycare - don’t expect a romantic or vibrant atmosphere. This time, we both wanted the lobster risotto and, of course, they were out. The “special” was shrimp & grits so we had that - tiniest shrimp, 6 or 7 popcorn shrimp size and asparagus was hardly edible. Grits were clumpy and interior of clumps were cold. Again, silence, no ambiance, except for a child that was watching something loudly on his mother’s phone - not sure if they were patrons but I assume so. Biggest issue for us though is value for money - if I’m paying $15/plate, I expect decent sized shrimp or maybe make up for it by adding more to the plate. I understand that times are tough but when we, as a customer, voluntarily spend money to eat at an establishment, we don’t want to feel taken advantage of. Hopefully, for the sake of the family, it’ll get straightened out soon.
This was my first visit here on a recommendation of one of our fellow diners. All five of us loved our meals here last night. We all ordered different items. We also got a couple of their appetizers. DeliciousThe whole staff worked together with their pleasant personalities to be sure we were well taken care of during our visit.
We went for lunch and were disappointed.Such a big change compared to a month ago.Grilled Shrimp was very small, Grilled Zucchini was small in size also and was too salty. Rice was to sticky and not very good. The order was low in portion and higher in price. The Fried Frog Legs order had gone up in price also..Had way too much batter on them and were not seasoned. Hush puppies were over cooked and hard. The French Fries were chewy and didn't taste fresh.Pinto Beans tasted dull like they came right out of a can and I had to add Kethup just to add some flavor.Prices have greatly increased and not very many choices on sides. We won't be going back.
First and last time going. I wish I could go back in time and never set foot in this place. Half the employees are children. A *barefoot* little boy was bussing the tables and couldn’t even reach the middle. Obviously the chairs were not cleaned because he is a child. They had a baby all over the restaurant in a walker, and the waitress took our order while holding the baby. The little girl at the register was upset about having to work, because she is a CHILD. Let your kids be kids!! They have their whole adult lives to work. And to top it off the food is expensive and not good. Paid more than we ever have at any restaurant in kerrville. If I could give less than one star I would.
