Margs were, well without alcohol, Chicken fajitas were boiled or roasted chicken with no fajita flavor (when we ordered they came out in less that 2 minutes which should have been a clue) and they were mostly cooked through…… Our waitress was very nice but forgot our bean order, not just once but throughout our meal. I know that there are few choices in Kerrville, but let’s get real- this was basically terrible. Now, on the positive side the bill was $18, so there is that……..
Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Kerrville. Clean, great service and food. We had breakfast with a friend and all three of us enjoyed our meals. He had the Machacado plate, Deb her usual Migas plate and I had the Barbacoa plate. All were very good and Rosa did her usual great job of keeping our coffee cups filled. Another enjoyable meal at El Jimador.
Good food and plenty of it. Waitress was friendly and attentive. She even moved us to a bigger table when they seated us (4 adults) at a table meant for 2. Food was delicious and they are quick.
My son and I stopped here for lunch on a recent trip. The greeter was very friendly and seated us quickly. Our waitress was very attentive and took great care of us. We both ordered a lunch special for around $10. I had the 3 beef enchiladas with rice and beans while my son had the carne guisada. Both meals were very delicious with lots of flavor. I would definitely like to dine here again to try some of their different menu items. The only thing I would change would be the salsa as I like for mine to have a lot of HOT! Very clean restrooms!
Seating and giving you your menu could have been faster, better.. They say wait to be seated yet you can go in and choose a seat.Food wait time is average 10-15mins.Food is good. Good portions.Waitress needs to come around a little more often. Will eventually come back. I do recommend if you have some time to kill and just wana sit, talk and have a bite with someone.
Please save yourself and do not eat at this place. I am not sure how it could have such great reviews. I ordered the beef fajitas. No seasoning on the meat. The meat was room temp and old. Tortilla chips are a very cheap store bought type of chip. The cheese and sour cream was old and had a Wang. Rice was cold. There was old food scraps all over the floor. The salt shaker was covered in old stuck on salsa. Nasty place that should be investigated by the health department. Meal took over 2 hours. This restaurant was once a wonderful Italian restaurant and had a great atmosphere and some of the best Italian food in the area. It truly is a shame. I suspect that at some point they will make someone sick. So do not even attempt to eat here unless you are not bothered by old filthy food.
Very delicious food, queso was awesome, dessert was also very tasty

Food is delicious
We’ve been here many times and the quality of the food is top notch. From the varied fajitas to the barbacoa to the enchiladas with chili con carne!!
