Absolutely the worst eggplant parmigiana I have ever eaten. Bread was hard, sauce tasted like it was from a can and the spaghetti noodles were hard and stuck together. Save your money and go elsewhere. So disappointed!
Prices do not match whats on the menu, there are small signs in not very clear areas to view this which is not cool, pizza was not good at all especially for the price and not having any deep-dish available service was terrible idk if the waitress was even aware she was waiting on tables ? ? place has really gone down hill from when it first opened probably will not go again which is sucks cause at one time we really enjoyed it
Our Anniversary date, a couple days ago, and we decided to try Carmine's Italian. Thinking wines and Italian food is perfect for Anniversary. The service was good, at because there's was only a couple table customers. They don't serve alcohol, my fault for not inquiring that. So we stayed and have dinner. My husband had lasagna but didn't eat most of it. He said it tasted weird. Sure did, he had food poison that night. We were very disappointed.
Food is awesome, would definitely recommend, only complaint I have is that the prices on their online menu are wrong and went brought to their attention, they blame it on inflation and their manager works in San Antonio, an apology would have been nice but it is what it is. My only other complaint is that I ordered the 28 inch and after I ordered it, they called me back to see how I wanted it prepared (slices or squares) I said squares and got slices, why bother calling me back if you aren’t going to do what I asked for. Not sure I would return, prices are way too high, $66.00 for a 28 inch cheese pizza and an Alfredo with no chicken.
We got a 28in pepperoni pizza. There were six of us and we took home half of it. It was very very very good. We also got 12 garlic rolls and they were very good they were all gone.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend Carmines, especially after this visit. We’ve been several times, and each time the service has declined. I understand lack of people wanting to work blah blah…that’s not even the issue here. I ordered a SIDE salad (Greek), and a slice of pizza, the kids each had a kids order of cheese pizza, and husband had a slice of pepperoni pizza. The kids had water and hubby and I had tea. When the waitress brought my salad after we had to ask for it, it was a huge salad…I stated I ordered a SIDE SALAD…she said the Greek doesn’t come in a side salad (why didn’t you tell me that when I ORDERED). So when my husband addressed the other waitress about the issue she said she’d talk with the manager. No bill was ever brought to the table after she brought a to go box, so he went up to pay. He told me total was $45 once we headed down the road, so I asked what for?! He said she didn’t give me a receipt or anything. So we called to clarify and let them know what was going on. Well here’s the big problem…they didn’t care, said their prices are subject to change anytime, and nothing was wrong about the salad issue either. The owners daughter Savannah was extremely rude and didn’t want to apologize for anything. We will not be back, and will not bring guests or other family here. I have no patience for disrespect. Run a restaurant correctly.
As always Carmine's was fantastic. The restaurant is very quaint and with the Italian music continuously playing the atmosphere is perfect for any time your hungry. The food is outstanding and always tasty. The wait staff is very friendly, pleasent, and knowledgeable about the food on the menu. This is certainly a hidden gem in a town with lots of restaurants.
My husband is Italian from NY. 2nd gen born in America from Sicily.Yesterday we went to Carmines...My husband had the spaghetti with marinara. The sauce tasted like his mothers.I had the manicotti with tomato sauce. That was very good.We are going back today
Philly sub had almost no meat, a Caesar salad was maybe a handful of lettuce and 4 croutons, $16+ not tasty, very disappointing
I have been getting pizzas from Carmine's since they opened in Kerrville. Their pizza was always consistent every time I purchased one. They were the closest pizza as the pizzas in New Jersey and New York. Yesterday I wanted to get a pizza to take home. I went inside the resturant and noticed a lady chef making the pizza. I never seen her before but hoped the pizza would be as good as ever. WRONG. the pizza came out covered with cheese, you could not even see where the slices were divided. When I took a slice out of the box it bent in half. The only way you could eat the pizza was to put it in a bowl and use a spoon. One of the worst pizza's I have ever had. If the cook remains at Carmine's I will never get another pizza there.
