Lived this place. Didn't know what to expect since we are from out of town but we were very happy with our choice. The baker with meat is amazing and filling. I couldn't eat it by myself. My husband said the beef sandwich was delicious. We will definitely go back when we are that way
Brisket tastes like it’s been reused or reheated. To much fat on brisket. Sauce is really watery. Yuck! I’ve lived here for years in Kerrville. I thought why not give it another shot? Nope same dry fatty brisket. My go to now is True Texas BBQ at HEB. Brisket is by far much tender and moist.
We (6 adults & 4 teens) were in Kerrville for a softball tournament and wanted bbq but not from a “chain” I found Buzzies in my Waze and read the reviews and decided to try it! The food was amazing… we had brisket, sausage, potato salad, mac&cheese… COLD BEER! The service was great the owner came over to greet us… highly recommend this place if your in Kerrville
Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend, and it definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere feels like the small town meetup place for locals. I thought the smoked chicken and ribs were better than the brisket - which was pretty good too. This might not be the best BBQ you’ve ever had in your life, but it definitely represents small town Texas BBQ extremely well. Next time I’ll probably skip the sides to save room for dessert.
2nd time here. Brisket is so dry and hard. Both times.. How do they stay in business?
This was our initial visit here and we were not disappointed at all. We tried ribs, sausage and brisket - all were hot and delicious with ample servings. We will return.
Great sausage on the Thursday special. Friendly folks, nice clean dinning room. I recommend it!
What a great place!!! We were in town for a shoot and our group of four came in for lunch and had the family tray for four, we had so much food and could not stop eating, it was all so good. The meats, sides, and the cobbler were all perfect. The guys behind the counter were very very welcoming, and then to top it off Buzziie the owner came in after a long morning of catering and still hung around, talked, and made us feel right at home. incredible people, incredible food and incredible service.
Smothered in some kind of sauce!I was driving to a remote location on the Pecos river and decided I could pickup dinner along the way. I researched Kerrville on Yelp for the highest rated BBQ place. It was obvious the locals preferred Buzzie’s.I had timed my arrival from Spicewood to coincide with their opening time which was 11am.Pleasant staff greeted me and I ordered 1.5 lbs of brisket with a side of beans and potato salad.At my car, I wrapped the brisket in aluminum foil and placed it in a small ice chest.At 6pm when I sat down for dinner, the meat had a thick layer of smoke flavored sauce that was inedible for me.I ate the beans and potato salad.
Great experience with a great group of people. Food was above my expectations as was the quantity!
