We had passed by Las Palapas many times, and kept saying we should try it! They are a very welcoming and family-friendly environment.Though the menu has limited vegetarian options, they are able to custom certain dishes to be vegetarian! I got the stuffed poblano without shrimp. It was very filling and delicious.My one complaint... there did not seem to be much tequila in my frozen margarita. ? My husband had a margarita on the rocks, which seemed normal strength.
Had an awesome lunch. Fast service and the food was delicious. Danny was our server. He was very friendly and attentive. Definitely will be coming back again.
This was our first experience at Las Palapas, WoW! The ambiance is great! the restaurant has a nice bar with comfortable seating and the food is great. Danny waited on us, he was attentive and personable. I had the ribeye steak with cheese enchiladas (cooked to perfection), my husband had the fajitas which was delicious. They have fresh squeezed lemonade, and everything is house made and fresh. We will be back with company.
I have never stopped here to eat but today I turned in last minute and boy am I glad I did.The beans are amazing and it has been far to long since I found a place that made a sour cream chicken enchilada worth eating. I was very surprised how good this meal was by the look of the building.The staff was also very fast and friendly. I will definitely have to return here again soon.
Very quick service, friendly staff and the food was good! Really loved the tortilla soup and my daughter said her nachos were the best ever! Will come back to try other things.
My favorite Mexican Food from San Antonio is now right down the street! Amazing enchiladas, Puffy Tacos and of course Mama Ruth’s Flauta Special!! Great food and prices! Danny was great server, too! I’ll twist him next time I come in… my iced tea was always full! Check them out!
Great fresh and authentic tasting Mexican food, well known as one of San Antonio’s best places to eat Mexican. The chicken tortilla soup is “to die for!” Everything is fantastic and reasonably priced. Happy hour margaritas are pretty tasty too.
We’ve come here a few times now. The food, drinks, and service have been great! Come during happy hour for $4.99 margaritas and half price nachos. It may not have been good when they first opened, but it’s all good now! Come give them a try!
We got a coupon in the mail to go eat here. We only had the choice of cheese enchiladas and flautas. We’ll we tried both and they was delicious. I didn’t really care much for the chips and salsa, it needed more spice and maybe salt. The restaurant was clean, welcoming and nice on the inside for it being an old Dairy Queen. Our server had black curly hair and was extremely nice. Our food came out really fast and was hot. We got the sopapillas and they was delicious. We tried a margarita as well but I can’t remember the name. The Sweet tea tasted fresh and delicious. Over all we was very satisfied with the taste of the food, the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. We will definitely go back!
Wonderful staff, very friendly and so welcoming! Great food and margaritas! My favorite lunch is the shrimp stuffed avocado. You must try this place!!! My husband and I stopped in for a margarita and got some great food to take home tonight.
