I really want to like this place. This place earned 2.5 stars from me. Firstly, the service was good. Secondly, the quantity is good portion. However, being Thai and me ordering the lemon fish and larb , I really was expecting some strong flavor and authentic thai food. The flavor really ruined the experience for me. I do suggest if you want Americanized thai food, this place is the place for you.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in H town.
The inside of the restaurant is super cute and staff is friendly. We ordered the calamari which was amazing in the sauce as well as the Pad Kee Mao with chicken and it was delicious! I liked that you could pick your spice level (from 1-5), 3 was perfect for me. We also ordered the pad kapow with chicken and it was just okay, kind of bland. Drinks were good. Loved the robot that brought our food, that was a nice touch but service was slow considering the number of people there.
Had read great things about this place. Not to knock any other reviews in any way, but this was our experience. Arrived around 19:30 on a Thursday. Place was maybe a quarter full. Sat down and got waters and utensils promptly. Was asked for our order right away and kindly asked for a couple more minutes(since it was our first time and they did not ask). 10 minutes later they came back for our orders(?). We both ordered Chef Dinner Specialties, beef and grilled squid (nothing else...no drink's). It took 30 minutes to get our food. We were expecting dinner portions with a side at least. The pictures show what we got (for $42). The dipping sauce was excellent (for me...very spicy, but a great heat). Unfortunately my wife can't handle the heat I can and everything on her plate except for her beef was drenched in it and inedible to her. My char grilled squid was bland and chewy (thank goodness for the spicy dip). The only side on each plate was a few shards of cucumber, carrot and shaved red onion, drenched in their spicy sauce. My wife's beef was very flavorful, but she had asked it be cooked medium and received it medium raw?! We both ate what little was correct and then sat for 20 minutes waiting on our check? The staff seems highly distracted and concentrates primarily on large groups and expensive order customers (do luv that robot though ?). In summary... Decent tasting food, small portions comparatively, inattentive wait staff and a high cost to value of overall dining and enjoyment experience. We won't be back.
I wanted to try since I haven't been to a good Thai restaurant for a while and it was advertised on Facebook plus the name is catchy (lol)! Located in Katy Asiantown, we visited on a weekday sometimes after 11am. There were only 2 tables occupied but the restaurant was very spacious and clean. The interior had a trendy design and we sat in a booth near the window. We selected the following items from the menu and its rating out of 5 stars:Drink:Thai tea - perfect sweetness as I do not like overly sweet drinks:5Appetizers:Chiang Mai Chicken - grilled chicken (a bit dry)which you can dip in a peanut curry sauce; comes with pickled cucumber which was my favorite: 4Thaicoon rolls with pork - who doesn't love fried spring rolls dipped in a sweet chili sauce: 5Entree:Pad C-Ewe - I chose to add the shrimp as the meat; stir fried large flat rice noodles with Chinese brocolli and egg with #3 spice level (choose 1 to 5 where 5 is the spiciest). The shrimp was plentiful and large and the spice level was perfect for me but may be too spicy for those who are not use to spicy food. The noodles had a nice taste but I would like a little more 'wok hay'. There were plenty of Chinese broccoli which I liked but the egg seemed to be overly cook. I rate it a 4.Yellow curry with chicken - this was my son's dish and I had to try it out of curiosity. It wasn't spicy since he got it at level 3 assuming it was the cream that mellowed out the heat. The curry was a bit too sweet for me and the fried rice (which cost extra) was dry. Son told me that it would be better if the veggies i.e. bell peppers and carrots would be cooked longer..it was raw. There were a couple of chicken pieces but nothing to get excited about. We rated it a 3.Overall the service was decent and it got pretty busy after 12 pm. The restaurant invested a robot cart that carried the food for the waitress which somehow able to navigate to the table with the order. No wonder the tables were spread out. Cute concept :) The overall cost of our tab for 2 person was a little steep but I guess blame it on the inflation? We will visit again if we crave for Thai food.
Visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning. Place was decorated nicely. Even had one of those serving robots. Service was excellent since we were the only ones present at 1130 am.Firstly I had the appetizer plate (17.00). Everything was fried perfectly, not too greasy at all. The meat dumplings were very dense and satisfying to eat. Fish cakes had a very strong lemongrass aroma. My friend had the pineapple fried rice (16.50). It was very substantial to look at. They actually hollowed a pineapple half to place the rice, stumps and mussels in. The flesh taken out of the pineapple was chunked and mixed in the the fried rice. The fried rice itself had good wok hei and had carrot stands in it. Shrimp was very large and plump as were the mussels.I ordered the fried duck leg (15.50). I waited a good amount of time (about 20 min), so be prepared to wait. Once it came, I went straight the to the kailan. It was lightly doused in oyster sauce, and was tender. Problem is I only had three stalks of this green leafy vegetable. The duck leg itself was fried well done to a crisp. Meat still had some moisture to it and saving the skin had a very light seasoning to it. I guess that what the tamarind sauce was for..The sauce itself was sweet, and qiute enjoyable. I ended up gnawing the duck leg to the bone wanting more.My general impression is the food was priced on the upper limit I would consider to be resonable. If I just had the duck leg I would not be satisfied. The fried rice is a better choice, aesthetically and better for the price. Overall to food was fresh and well cooked, a good choice if you want some Thai food.
Service was bad - the waitress didn't know anything about any of the dishes. When we asked her questions she just didn't know and kept having to go back and ask. She never gave us our utensils and napkins. Everything we needed we had to ask.The manager stated she was in training. If that was the case, why did you leave her on her own?We ordered shrimp Tom yum was sour and spicy but quite sweet. The Laos style papaya salad was bland. Not that great so I ended up taking it to go so I can "doctor it up" at home.I also order the Crispy Pad Thai ($7.50) appetizer. Smaller portion is to be expected when I asked the waitress she stated it was regular portion like the regular dish. When it came out, there was no noodles. Just veggies and pork grinds. The waitress never told me it doesn't come with noodles. When I asked the manager she was the one that told me it doesn't come with noodles. If I want noodles she can add but will charge me an extra $3. So I ended up returning it to order the regular regular pad Thai (17) with shrimp. It's over priced for not so good quality food and bad service. Even though they had a sign they are short staffed but we came before dinner and after lunchhour. Bad service bc they lack knowledge on their own menu and we had to ask for everything. Will never eat here again.
Fun atmosphere with robot waiters and drinks in ceramic cats. Spicy as ya wanna be - be careful above level 3. Food is outstanding, dare I say Thai-tastic

Had a great experience here. Visited for the first time for dinner and it just also happened to be during happy hour as well. The older lady who I am assuming is the owner came to our table and greeted us and made some suggestions to us. She was very kind and had a smile on her face the whole time. The bartender was very friendly and gave my hubby some pointers on whisky (he's not a huge drinker) it's was whisky day at the establishment. Apparently they have different specials each day.The menu was extensive IMO and food was great. I enjoyed my pad kee mao and hubby had crying tiger steak. He raved about it but his only complaint is he didn't get enough Nam Jim Jeaw. ? We love spicy food and this certainly hit the mark for us.Will definitely be going back again. The decor was minimal and modern. I loved that they had the upside down Christmas tree decked with all the Easter color flowers and decor. They also have a cute robot that brings the food to your table and they then serve to you. Also peep that awesome rose shaped ice in the whisky glass ??Follow me on Instagram @hotpeppatrini for more.
