We chose this please for great reviews but we were really disappointed when we got our food. All six of us ordered large bowls but they all were half full! My salad mix leaves were not fresh, I found three yellow leaves with slimy stuff on them (picture attached) Miso soup was also on a weird side, very watery and had sweet taste to it. Other than that all other food items seemed to be fresh, the place is very clean and the service is good.
Great looking place. I love their decor. Poke was disappointing. Both in size and in freshness. Some salad was old and spoiled. The Avocado that they charge extra was black.Service could also be better. The people serving food are not very friendly either. The utensils are behind the counter and need to be asked for. The water tasted terrible. With a few small improvements this could easily be a 5 star ⭐️ place.
Personally i love this place, I’ve gotten to share good meals and memories here with friends and more. I always push people to try food from here since the bowls are really good, they include a miso soup and you can get free water cup in self service, so i think it is worth its price. I would recommend to talk about costumer service with some of their workers though. I wanted to show my boyfriend this place for a while and got to go with him today. I got attended by a guy and a girl today. I have chronic social anxiety so it is hard for me to express myself within others. The guy was patient and even shared laughs with me and my boyfriend (i really appreciate his patience and willing to answer my questions with care). People started to come in so my order got passed to the girl attending as well. It was pretty “dry” handle of service, it shows that she was just there to work and probably felt a bit overwhelmed with seeing more people coming in the line that’s understandable. Its the part of getting to the register that made me upset. I do want to announce I payed with cash, ive been saving up my tips to treat my boyfriend so i payed with it. I did a bit nervous taking out fives and ones but still managed to even get her to count with me since i was feeling pretty anxious and i knew that i might mess up my counting. So i did asked her if what i gave her was an amount, her mask made her a bit muffled so there were questions of repetition and i can start noticing her annoyance towards me. I tried to lighten a bit and said “im sorry, they’re just my tips but i promise I’m getting them” with a nervous chuckle. I even tried to separate the types of coins so it’ll be easier for her to count them as well. Then the girl’s response was with a look to the costumer a look to me and roll her eyes saying “yeah, just hurry up” with a visible annoyed face even through the mask. I do apologize for annoying her yet i do think that her way of pressure and choice of words towards others(mainly costumers) is really uncalled for. Yes i can see there was a line and i tried to be faster, i tried to count the money the best i could that i ended up even dropping stuff from my bag on the ground that my boyfriend and another costumer helped me pick up. I immediately tried to go to my chair, i felt embarrassed, as bad as it sounds i did cried a bit, because i did get upset. I wasn’t happy anymore and my first meal with my boyfriend here ended up being a meal that i had to be consoled at. I don’t know if shes having a bad day but she also doesn’t know if i am having one either. I work on costumer service myself so i understand both sides. Yet I would recommend to improve on the costumer service of some workers. I always tell my coworkers treat others how you’d like to be treated. Realistically if someone gave her such response she’d be pretty upset too. Yet overall I still like this place, it still serves good quality food and it has a very sweet aesthetic where you can enjoy the view in each wall. (My favorite is the drawings in the blackboard)
I always get teriyaki salmon* my favorite* ? today I tried udon chicken soup it was amazingly good. the service was super! Love the fact that they have miso soup as complimentary if you’re dining in, sadly I’m taking Togo! Definitely coming back
I usually like this place however today I went to order a kids bowl bc I didn’t want a lot of fish and the worker told me I had to be under 12 to order it even tho i’ve got it before. Then she told me I would have to pay for a bowl of miso soup if i wanted to take my order to go even tho it’s complimentary and i was in the store. ridiculous
the food was soooooooooo good im literally crying y’alls food is so yummy
Fantastic place, affordable, and DELICIOUS. They have complimentary miso which was fantastic. The main course (I ordered Japanese Garden Curry) was just fantastic. I was driving through and just picked this place on a whim. I live in Beaumont and will be driving back for a date night.
I never had Poke before, but the girl preparing gave us a amazing recommendation for the first time going. It has really good options and honestly better than any bowl making business I've been too. Price range is high though so be ready to dish out a $20 per person
My absolute favorite poke place!! It used to be my favorite lunch place when I used to work in that area and every chance I get I go get myself some food from here, plus they give you free miso soup !! The staff is nice as well
Terrible service. I ordered online and when I went in store, they did not even know there was an online order. I also paid extra for avocado and it wasn’t in my bowl when I got home - they didn’t give me any of the sides I ordered (seaweed salad, imitation crab salad, ginger, avocado)!!! They weren’t even busy when I went so I don’t even know how they can mess up an order with the ticket IN FRONT OF THEM! This is my first time trying this place too. I’m so hangry and this made me more angry ?Other than that, food pretty good.
