This was our first time there for lunch at noon. The place was packed, but two tables remained. We were probably seated and waitress came almost immediately bringing us menus. My wife chose chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy. I had the 8 oz jalapeno burger with cheese and fries. It was an unusually long wait for the food to arrive but considering the volume of customers that was not surprising.When the food around it was piping hot, pleasantly percentage and properly prepared. My fries were fresh cut potato strips. Hamburger consisted of a sesame seed bun, Mayo, America cheese, thick ground beef patti, leaf lettuce, tomato slices, jalapeno slices & pickle slices, but no onion! That's a deal breaker for me, because a burger without onion is bland burger. I would have waited for the waitress to return, but I was hungry and needed to get on with my day. The fries were not exceptional, but good,The fried chicken tenders were cooked to a dark brown, reducing the oil temperature would have helped, but were still moist enough. Basic flour gravy & mashed potatoes.Basically, I would call Snappy's an old time Texas Cafe, the likes that every town had when I was a kid for an assortment of comfort food. That is now a rare find.
We went here this morning for the first time because of all the incredible reviews. I really wanted to like this place so I could come here more and support a local business. My boyfriend got the breakfast tacos and a biscuit and gravy. I got a two egg breakfast with home potatoes, bacon, and a biscuit. Basically, I enjoyed my eggs. The potatoes were mushy and had absolutely zero flavor. The biscuit was okay but the bacon was really bad. I pick the fat off my bacon and eat only the dark red meat parts. There was barely anything to eat off the bacon. I tried my boyfriend’s breakfast taco and it was nothing special. I was pretty sad about it all. I gave 3 stars because the place was super cute and clean, the atmosphere was comfortable and “home-y”, and the service was good. Thank you for serving us!
This was my first visit and I had high hopes from all of my friends who have enjoyed it, however, although the ambiance was great the service was good, My breakfast was cold and I am one of those who has a big problem with that. The pecan waffle was tough and the biscuits and sausage gravy was extremely bland. I did not ask to have my food reheated because I feel certain it would have made it worse. I am going to try again because I have a hunch this is not how they typically do business. I will update this review after my next visit.
This is a very good breakfast place, love the food so much but very impossible to get a table on the weekend. Not suited for a large party. I had family visit me from out of town and we decided to go out for breakfast on a Sunday. We picked this place but it was a waste of time. Almost an hr and a half we still had no table. Waitstaff kept saying they are trying to see if they can free up some tables to accommodate us all. That did not happen though, we ended up somewhere else. I give kudos to that one staff (don't remember her name) just for making and effort. Other than that, go somewhere else is you have a large party. If a small party, also prepare to wait. Maybe not for that long but you will surely wait.
I am so glad I don’t live close to this place. I would need an annual triple bypass but 1st rate average everything except the employees. They were all amazing.

I've enjoyed this place over the years for their freshness and quality of the food but I'm sad to not feel that way anymore. I hope the new owners will find their way to bring it back to what it used to be and improve on it. Listen to your customers while they're willing to talk and while they are still visiting and wanting to enjoy your food.
Great food and best breakfast in town
My new favorite breakfast spot in Katy. They’ve been around forever and the food speaks for itself. Very friendly staff and people. Amazing breakfast for an amazing price. You’ll never go to Dennys again after eating here.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. Proportions are larger than standard chains. Attentiveness of staff is great. Had a nice relaxing breakfast for one. Will be a weekly trip. :)
