Cool place, think upper scale southern fast food. It was unexpected to us that it was counter service but the quality of the food was great and it didn’t take very long. It is a little pricey for what you get but I would recommend it.
Good sized portion meals. Try the wings. They are huge and tasty. Nachos come with a lot of cheese. The burger is delicious.
The food is a twist on classical Americana. We found the staff to be welcoming and the food outstanding.I put half immediately into a togobox because their portions are GENEROUS.They use a jalapeño Gravy instead of a standard Country gravy on their Chicken Fried Steak. I loved it, my parents not so much. Just worth being warned ahead of time.
The low-esh rating is based on the taste of the fried catfish. The catfish was not cleaned of the grey fat thus giving it a dirty taste. I have experienced this at other places that purchase cheap catfish fillets or fail to clean the fillets properly. This practice of serving dirty catfish is why people say they don't like catfish. Clean fillets make a huge difference in taste. My fried shrimp were also overcooked, really rubbery. Can not recommend the fried catfish and shrimp. The service was good and this is a family friendly restaurant. The pricing is in-line with today's economy. My wife enjoyed her burger and sweet potato fries. If a Manger would have been checking on tables I could have expressed my concern with the quality of the seafood.
We came to Mia’s table for Dinner on a Friday Night. The restaurant was very busy and had a cafeteria feel to it. You order your food at the front then proceed to find any open table in a first come first serve basis. We ordered the Kids’ Mac N Cheese, Chicken Fried Steak, and Southern Fried Chicken. The food was pretty good and we had a nice meal. We did try the free soft serve ice cream and it is better than the ones at Jason Deli’s.Overall, it feels like an upgraded Luby’s. The prices are expensive but you’re getting freshly prepared meals rather than something that has been sitting on a warmer. The servers were very nice and attentive. They cleaned up the tables very quickly so that diners can find an open table to eat at. Great casual dining for families. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a quiet night out.
Not your classic chicken fried chicken. It had a Jalapeño sauce, not my favorite. I will try something else if I come back.A bit pricey. 2 Toddlers and 2 adults was $65.Food was good overall. Very nice restrooms.
Me & My Family visited MIA's On Good Friday & Today! ?Super Friendly Staff (so kind & helpful)..along with the Manager/Partner (Mr. Cartagena). The food was super good & the prices/serving sizes were great!Wonderful environment for all.✔️?✔️
Food was great service was good
The chicken fried steak was great, good batter, nice jalapeno gravy, and the green beans had a good smoky flavor.
Took the family in for dinner during the holidays and found the burgers to be absolutely amazing. Restaurant was extremely clean and well managed. The staff was really nice as they came around several times to check on us. This restaurant has instantly become one of our favorites in the Katy area. If you haven't visited yet, I highly recommend that you do.
