Definitely not my favorite Los Cucos (which is located in old Katy), this one is by Katy Mills and not impressive at all. When we first entered we were hoping to be seated outside (it was 7pm) and was told that it wasn't open. Then when they seated us, our waitress came up and didn't give a name or anything. (We found it on the receipt and it was a lady named Cecilia) and the service just wasn't up to par unfortunately. I spilled my drink and only had lap napkins to clean it. She barely checked on us and had very little interaction with us. And the food was subpar.. what WAS good was the drinks and a bus boy named Javier. He was helpful and attentive. Won't be returning to this location.
The workers cater to you if your drink is empty almost immediately, also almost all the workers speak Spanish. The food was amazing and the drinks where on point.
Hear me out guys! This place is a must! Food is super yummy and the staff it oh so friendly my family loves coming here! Sadly it’s a long drive from home but definitely worth it.
The location in downtown Katy was closed due to a power outage so we reluctantly went to the mall location. Even though it was still not the dinner hour, spill over from Katy had the lobby full. We waited about 20 minutes for a booth. We need to social distance and the booths are great for that with the tall plastic barrier between each booth. The lobby was very warm with the crowd and the door constantly opening. But once we were seated it was cooler. Our server was a young rather short fellow but quick on his feet. We got our drink and entree orders in fast thank goodness since a table of 8 was waiting to order right next to us. The food came out fast and was excellent. We never had to ask for refills. Our waiter was always one step ahead of the game. My wife left a generous tip. I had not been to this location in many years and had a crowded noisy experience that time. This time was crowded but way more pleasant. If you can't get to the awesome food at Pappasitos, then Los Cucos should be your destination. ???
10/10. The sauce, the drinks, the appetizers, the entrees, ON POINT !!! Try the stuff jalapeño. I promise you won’t be sorry
Guacamole and stuffed jalapeños were delicious! Our meal for two was even better. The cucumber jalapeño margarita is a must try!
Best happy hour specials $3.49 Margaritas. The combo platter we got for 2 was plenty and very good. The Guac could be better. Will definitely keep coming back for happy hour
Good place for Mexican food and drinks. Staff were friendly.Reduced a star only for the portion size against the price. Little pricy for the portion.
Went to this Lops Cucos for lunch. Service was very good. Chips, drinks came quickly. We did not have to flag anyone down to have our chips & drinks refilled. The food came out about 5-10 minutes after ordering. All food was hot. The different items are party ordered were all good. I would definitely go back if I was in the area.I will agree with some that the restrooms could be redone/more clean. I won't go so far as to agree with other reviewers that the restrooms were like gas stations but they could do better here.
