Flavor of the food was decent, but very tiny portions. I got a to go order to eat the food at the park with my family and asked for a sealed cup for ice water. Clowns tried to charge me 3 dollars for the cup because the sealed cup is the one used for soda even though I'm getting water.
Ok so last owner didn't even claim to be from the islands and yet besides the Jasmine rice tbat they served they did a decent job and served a good portion. Now there's a new owner claiming to be an islander, but the quality of the food and portion got slashed in half. If you're an islander you gotta understand how important big portions are serving all them huge bradas. Mac salad not good and must have evaporated bc it can't be found on the plate other than a few pieces of macaroni. Katsu chicken super thin and not so crispy. BBQ mix plate, the teri beef super lean and dry and they only gave one strip of short rib which is unheard of in L&L's. I've been to many L&L's all over Oahu, on Hilo, LA, San Diego, Long Beach; never do they serve 1 strip of rib. I only went out for L&L's this time bc I was too lazy to make it myself, but now I'm regretting it.
Great food and great service. Lots of aloha and ono eats.
They must be under new ownership or management because the girls working up front had no idea what a lunch special was. And the manager who came to help them was so rude to his employees right in front of me. The macaroni literally was just pasta and mayo and I'm not sure if they changed the sauce recipe for the Katsu but oh my goodness it's a big NO for me. This location lost its authentic feel its sad. This is just to ask you guys to do better..
This place was horrible! New management not good management obviously. Had lunch there today we walked in the floor was sticky. Ordered our food with the toothpick cashier. While taking our order she continued to pick her teeth with this toothpick. They fill your plate with raw cabbage, hard chewy meat and burnt sauce. We will never go back to this place. Aloha!!
Mac Salad was okay. Rice wasn’t fluffy or sticky. Kalua pork wasn’t at all what it should be. The portions in the spam musubi were not right. Not authentic. What happened to this place?
Whenever so crave musabi I usually pick some up from here. I ordered some yesterday and there was a sign saying it’s under new management. The spam musabi isn’t the same. The sauce/seasoning taste different, more ketchup-ie to me.
Decided to stop by for lunch with my daughters between shopping. It’s been awhile since we been there. I am Hawaiian and I cook at home most of the time. And we see this location has a sign up NEW MANAGEMENT. We walked in and this cashier is picking her teeth with a tooth pick the whole time !! I couldn’t understand her!! I wanted to walk out at that point. But I wanted to see if the food was better and I was very disappointed. Instead of a good amount of Mac salad like expected. It’s a spoonful on a layer of shredded cabbage. The Beef was tough and the sauce was burnt. I will never go back. Aloha!!
The Hawaiin Macaroni Salad is Ahhhmazing. We drive an hour into town just to grab a few scoops. My son loves the Spam Masubi
I got the garlic shrimp plate and BBQ chicken plate. For $15 each. Im soooo disappointed in the shrimp. A couple small dried chewy shrimp with no flavor. There was about a half head of cabbage underneath to fill up the plate. The Cabbage Is, raw for $15 a plate atleast boil the cabbage or season it or stir fry it. It only takes a couple minutes. I’ve been here 3 times, loco moco and BBQ chicken is decent but AVOID THE SHRIMP.
