Loved the free chips and salsa.Great place with little kids.It has shaded outdoor playground, big space and looks clean.We can eat and watch the kids at the same time.Food is good and server is attentive. Will definitely comeback.**Kids menu comes with ice cream, they love it.
Love this place! Amazing food, generous portions, affordable prices, and restaurant decor is fun, colorful, and classy. The sauces they serve (with the freshest/crispiest chips you will ever taste) are equally amazing.Each plate is presented beautifully and tastes as good as it looks. The seafood enchiladas will change your life. ?

I ordered three tacos and a 3 ounce queso with chips. It came out to almost $20. I ordered the food to go. The waitresses stated they gave me a free coke several times, and it would take 15 minutes for my order to be ready. It was twice as long for my order to go to be ready. I went home to eat and I was so upset! There was barely two teaspoons of food in each taco, it was cold, the queso was cold and hard, and I was upset I spent almost $20 on crap! My first and my last trip to this restaurant!
Shrimp in the shrimp enchiladas was not good at all had a terrible flavor.There is no protection from wind at the outside seating.Server was very nice but didn't check on us much and didn't refill drinks.Ice cream machine is a nice perk but it was out of chocolate flavor and the ice cream was so stiff it didn't go into the cone well nor were we able to swirl it so it was quite top heavy and awkward. There weren't enough cones available.
My favorite Tex-Mex in Katy. Always fresh. Had shrimp anchiladas with avocado, rice and beans. Also a margaritas. Yummy
So I wasn't able to post a review from our experience today (3/24/22)...so I'm editing my 5 star review from 4 years ago . Sadly I really hate to post bad reviews but today I'm going to make an exception . Took my 10 yr old daughter out to eat and she ordered the bbq pulled pork tostadas and she got 2 tostadas with barely any pulled pork but a mountain of black beans. Total waste of money and honestly made the whole dining experience bad . Idk if the kitchen staff thought this was funny or they are just plain clueless . Needless to say this will be our last meal at the monkey .
My husband and I had dinner and just loved the atmosphere, food and staff. Ferren was our waitress and she was just amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Steve was one of the mangers there and he as well was very attentive and checking with us before and after dinner. Enjoyed this place. We have lived in Katy for 20 years and have never tried this restaurant and so glad we did. Food was amazing! Highly recommend!
Great food and service. Friendly atmosphere. We would definitely go again.
