First time here! For starters, I have found it rare to find and Asian restaurant that marks the menu with “Gluten Free”, let alone gluten free options. I can’t review the gluten free options as we did not choose them.We ordered Pad Thai and Red Curry. The curry was fantastic. The pad Thai was good, but a little sweeter than I normally like it. If you like spice but on a limited basis, I would recommend the mild option. We went with “spicy” and it was a great level of spice.
Great experience and excellent food and service.
The atmosphere is relaxing and chill. Server was efficient and polite. Lunch menu has some great prices. The pad thai was very disappointing. It was very bitter and the taste of the noodle was ick.
Spent a little time in Thailand and everything we had was very good compared to the real deal. Pad thai, red curry and tom yum soup were very tasty. Cheese rolls were kind of like crab wonton only rolled up. Didn't get any pictures because we dove in right away. ? We're excited to find some good Thai food so close!
The food I’ve tried here has great flavor in my opinion! The dessert was a $10 dollar one. I guess I was expecting little more than I got for the cost. As well as the red curry…
Really good red curry. I was a bit shocked by the price, BUT the portion size was large and worth it. Good service and nice ambiance. Definitely recommend!
Excellent pineapple fried rice and solid pad Thai. The curries are not to our liking but I would recommend trying to see if they fit your palette. Service is excellent even when during packed dinner hours.
would give 100 stars if I could.. You will never make or buy any other cookies once you taste these. I first saw them at the fulshear farmers market had a sample and I am hooked for life. No hesitation needed just buy! I am a customer for life these are the best cookies I have ever tasted. My daughter likes the lemon and browie bars as well, nothing is a disappointment, you will do yourself a disservice if you don't have these cookies.
Let me preface this by saying I hardly ever write reviews, but today I feel the need to as I was very unhappy with my Ginger Thai experience. I started going to the Energy Corridor location about 10 years ago, and have frequented the Katy location at least 15 times. First, it seems their wait times for pickup orders are always an hour or more no matter what time of the evening I order. I honestly feel that they give higher priority to dine-in customers, probably because they're a lot more likely to tip than online customers. Today, the wait time I got at 6:17pm was 1 hour 5 minutes. I instantly wished I'd made a different dinner choice as I was ravenous. Moral of the story: don't order from here if you're really hungry or otherwise don't have that kind of time. Secondly, their prices are pretty high in my opinion, but I pay up because I really like their Bangkok Tower Roll (the only thing I ever order for myself). Sadly, I'll be giving up my addiction as tonight is my last time patronizing this business. I was so excited to have my usual roll so I got comfortable and dug in. I immediately noticed for the first time that the two containers of sauce that come with the roll were only half full. I was immediately annoyed because I knew I would run out of sauce before I ran out of roll. Just as I predicted, I got halfway through the rolls and ran out of sauce. Now, I have half an order of rolls that have no flavor (that comes from the sauces) and nothing to dip them in. I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but I hate to throw them out. I paid $16 for the rolls and I feel the least Ginger Thai could do was give me enough sauce. I understand that the economy is bad and all, but I'd happily pay an extra dollar or two for them to give me all my sauce. Ridiculous. Cheating customers is not any way to keep them coming back. Lastly, my husband and I dined with another couple about two weeks ago because we wanted to introduce them to our favorite Thai place. Our friends were not impressed, and frankly, neither were we. The fried tofu was absolutely tasteless, and the watery sauce served with it did not help. Then, one of our friends ordered the duck soup entrée and asked for Thai Hot. The waitress asked him at least twice if he was sure he wanted it that spicy. He said he was sure. Afterwards, he said that it was hardly even spicy and the duck was chewy. Perhaps, Ginger Thai didn't think he could handle Thai Hot and made the executive decision to dial back his spice level. As I said earlier, I've been a loyal customer of Ginger Thai's for a decade and have forgiven previous grievances. However, tonight's experience was the straw that broke the camel's back. Like another reviewer said, I will be taking my business to Ramen King on Spring Green going forward. Best of luck Ginger Thai!
Great little Thai restaurant in Katy TX. Authentic flavors and whatever level of spice you want. Realistically they under spice in an abundance of caution. I like pretty spicy food so generally ask for 4 out of 5. They got it right for me, but be aware of their spicing tendencies. Our party had curry, red, yellow and green, chicken basil and some egg rolls. All was delicious. Cannot fault their food, atmosphere or service.
