I have eaten at El Jarrito for many years. The food is excellent, the Margarita's are always great and the service has nearly always been good. This is my FIRST choice for eating Mexican Food.

We celebrated our friends' daughter's graduation by enjoying a private dinner with 25 other close friends and family. The room was perfect for this occasion. They served chicken and beef fajitas with all the sides and we finished off with Flan for dessert. The margaritas were awesome and the service was great. Jorge was very attentive and made sure we all had what we needed.
The title says it all. We will surely come back. And let’s not forget waiter and waitress. Perfecto!
El Jarrito was a great experience. The food was so good! The service was amazing as well.We had enchiladas, queso flameado, chips, warm salsa.... all spectacular.The place was very clean, nicely decorated and the bathrooms were clean.This is more on the traditional side than tex-mex. If that's what you're looking for, I highly recommend El Jarrito.
El Jarrito has been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Katy area for years.We went on their busiest day of the year, Cinco de Mayo. The place was packed and despite having a small wait for our order to be delivered to the table, everything was great. As I said, it was busy, the wait does not matter to me.Our server was great and made sure we had all our other needs taken care of.
Great place to eat good Mexican food. The service was very good, food was great as well. They have life music on weekends, which is very nice. Just a little too loud but songs were nice. They have an outside sitting option which is great when you have kids. Ordered a margarita on the rocks and it was not that good. Apparently frozen margaritas are way better, just FYI.
Last night reservation was a complete nightmare for my family and I. Carmen the manager in charge, was so unprofessional. Our event started at 5pm and when my brother and Mother came in at 4:35pm they said THEY FORGOT the 50 GUEST EVENT WE RESERVED. Nothing was set up in the room. No food was available until after 6:00pm. Our event was reserved from 5-8 and we didn't have any music playing in the room until 7pm. We had two kind servers who were clearly overwhelmed with handling our event and serving other guest in the restaurant. So our wait on drinks and other things took a long time. We ran out of food as they charged us $1200 for 1 TRAY OF HALF AND HALF CHICKEN AND BEEF AND 1 TRAY OF RICE AND 1 TRAY OF BEANS. BTW the tray was small not a large tray that fits a whole burner. When we addressed Carmen she told us to not stress. She said it was our fault for not giving a time of when to serve food. Although the form signed clearly stated the event starts at 5pm. We asked her to please contact the owner. she then called the police on us. The whole situation was so unprofessional complete trash. All pictures of my little sister birthday have stakes of chairs all around the room. since the room was not set up or prepared prior. I AM STILL WAITING TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER. So much happened I cant even write it all. The way that manager handled it angers me most.
My wife and I stopped here for diner last Tuesday. The food was amazing and service was splendid. Our waiter, Alfredo, was right on target with his timing and service. He knew the menu, what we needed before we asked and made order recommendation that were spot-on.We will definitely be frequenting El Jarrito in the future.
This is the place to go in Katy for great, fresh Texmex. Hands down best margaritas, sauces, freshly cooked meat, you name it. Service isn't great simply because they're so busy. Definitely give it a try!
