I just placed an order over the phone for pickup and when I went inside to pick up they had the bag stapled when I asked for the typical Togo utensils they said “next time you must tell someone on the phone that you need form to go” like I’ve never in my life beard that with a to-go order!!! They were extremely rude and I’ll be sure to never come back!
Literally worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Lmao! It was laughable because the lady told me that in order to add shrimp to my lo mein it was $1 PER SHRIMP. & so I thought ok with prices like that it better be bomb. And I got my order it was not fresh, the cream cheese wontons had literally no filling in them, the sides of rice look like they’ve been sitting in the container for days so crusty at the top, the only saving Grace was the fried rice was decent. The to go portion amount to price tag is noooot worth it.
This place is truly a gem. My wife and drive a hour to enjoy their food and its consistency delicious every time. The dining room is spotless and the staff is is courteous and friendy.
Be careful !!!!! Literally after eating half my food I found a maggot in my food ! My family and I have eaten at china cottage a few times! Maggot in the food is UNACCEPTABLE & DISGUSTING . I am so disappointed I didn’t even get a refund just really sickening by the maggot ! NEVER EVER EATING HERE AGAIN! China cottage get it together my kids literally ate some of this.
First time visit, ordered sweet and sour pork, it was awful, it was mostly batter crust, little to no pork meat, and the sauce was not traditional, strange taste, gave me an upset stomach.

Been a customer for 6 years, always the best chinese food. They changed new staffs, I miss the old team. Shrimp roll and Posticker are always what I order. This place need to be known more as they deserve. Overall 9/10.

The reason i give it 5 stars is because of 2 things that i personally like. The pineapple shrimp is crispy/crunchy and sweet. Some other places when they bread chicken or shrimp the breading turns soggy, this does not. Second thing is amount of shrimp fried rice you get is enormous. Normally anytime of rice i order from places is like 2-3 scoops full, this is like a platter for turkey full. Went inside once it was nice, felt attentive. Been about 6 times and still like it, would go more but the hours are cut off at points when I'm either working or getting off too late. I always get the same thing so dont ask me about anything else lol.
My wife and I ate there this evening for the first time. The food was excellent and the server was excellent also. We will definitely be going back. China Cottage is worthy of 5 stars.
