Not my favorite place to go but the food was amazing. Saved for Gumbo to go.
Best gumbo in Houston! I am allergic to pork so I’ve never been able to enjoy gumbo their gumbo has NO PORK and it’s delicious. The oysters are the best lowest price oysters you will find in the city a dozen raw = $14 , now as far as salinity and sweetness they are a little bit more on the plain side so you will have to add your own seasoning to them . All the platters are amazing and cheap you definitely get a bang for your buck !! Service is fast and welcoming , one of my favorite places to get cheap good oysters and gumbo !
Nice spot to get a bite to eat of seafood, and some beer or Micheladas. Cool place to visit. Recommend.
The menu price increased a little bit than that in these review menu, and need to be updated, but in total it is good price.I love the half-shell oyster, one dozen is about $18 now and the sizes are large. Maybe some times they are not cleaned so well and you need to use napkins to clean. The fries are good, and the crab with crabmeat is so delicious.
Oyster are fresh the beers are nice and cold and micheladas are perfect combination ,I always get the flounder fish with salt and pepper extra crispy ? and a dozen of oyster with a perfect large Gumbo soup. City and beyond crew like ?
Great busy ship shaped dive seafood restaurant off Katy Freeway near Fort Rd. The prices have gone up but still fresh oysters shrimp and good stuffed crab. Also order michelada to go with your meal. Parking can be tight and there can be a line for a seat.
Oysters served warm. Red cocktail sauce drippy and warm too. Messy floors. Oysters shud be kept on ice and brought to customers on ice to conserve freshness. It was not. Lemons on counters are left to warm up without ice.
Great service. You don't have to wait much for your order to be taken nor to be served. They are very fast compared to other restaurants. If you sit at the bar area service is much better. Oysters are fresh, they are opened just before they are served. Gumbo is also pretty good. So if you are ever hungry and short of time... this is the place

Everyone should have a place they just love and this is mine. Unique, simple menu but it's all done perfectly to my liking. They usually have the best oysters and the price is half the other establishments around. Gumbo is the best in town in my opinion as is the fried oysters. The crown jewel though is their Mechelada's. I have mine with Sol beer but they have other beer's to choose from. Small place so expect to wait for a bar seat to watch the show. I love this place but if you're an uppity type this might not be for you.
