Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall by Katy Mills is Antonia’s. Calamari cooked perfectly, chicken Marsala in a divine sauce and seafood linguini die for! Excellent service made it even more special. Bravo!
Nice place for a lunch date or dinner date. No dress code required. Waiter and Waitress were great. Food was good and very filling.
I love this cozy authentic Italian restaurant. There is a patio to eat outside if you would like. It is chilly inside the restaurant so bring a sweater or wear long sleeves. I love that they serve fresh Basil and Garlic in your pastas. Believe me I went to a chain Americanized Italian restaurant they do not serve fresh basil, garlic or pesto. The Pesto is fresh and you can dip your bread into it. I love the Rustic Seafood linguine.
first: the staff are entirely capable, professional and friendly. second: the music is painfully pastiche Italian with much too emphasis on mr. Sinatra. more appropriate in a casino. the bread, much to their credit, is served room temperate but is completely forgettable. the pesto-oil "dip" is unfortunate. they claim their pasta is home made. well, that is a shame because they insist on over saucing their pasta dishes, to a fault. that is common in America I suppose. I had a marinara & sausage pasta dish. the sauce, again like most American Italian sauces, are spiced/herbed with a "McCormick Italian Herb Blend" or similar (!!!). this I guess, makes it "Italian". two other family members each had a pasta dish that is ruthlessly smothered in a cream sauce. how does one taste the homemade/handmade pasta after the drenching it is trapped under. I include images of these three pasta dishes. I also include an image of a pasta and sausage sauce "Penne al Baffo" I recently made at home. I do respect the staff and management of this restaurant - this kind of work is difficult and hard....
We've been here a few times now and tried many other authentic Italian restaurants. Antonia's is still the best. I try to same something different each time and each time leave with a new favorite. The risotto is the best I've had anywhere. Whether you order Italian classics like the fettuccine or Parmigiana or their specials, it's all authentic and absolutely incredible. For those that review and try to compare to Olive Garden, please don't. You clearly don't know what authentic Italian should be.I have a former primary care physician in OKC that actually flies down each quarter for no other reason but to eat here. I now live here and am fortunate to be so close. I rarely give 5 stars but Antonia's gets the nod.
I have mixed feelings about this place. My husband and I came around 6 PM and just could get seats at the bar. At first I did not like it for a romantic date. But, the waiter were so nice. They provided us with dedicated and personal services. Then the main dishes were so so in my opinion. My husband had lasagna, which was better than my beef. Then the olive oil cake and also the deserts was mind-blowing.
This place was on my radar for a couple of years now and I finally got to try them out for my husband’s birthday. Food was amazing and service was great. The squid ink pasta was really delicious. Thanks for a great night!Service was excellent, everything came out quickly and the portions were generous.
Food was tasty and the menu had a nice variety.
first time at this local "hidden" small family own ? Italian restaurant. we thought the good was OK and a bit pricey compared to other local Italian restaurants but portions was decent sized and good friendly service though.
Had the fish soup and De Mare plate with the scampi sauce. For people that enjoy seafood it was excellent. You can choose the sauce from 3 different choices. Also had 3 meatballs in marianna sauce on the side. Very tasty. Meatballs were larger than golf ball size. Good size portion. Service was great. They have a good selection of wine to compliment your food too. Or you can choose water or soda.
