Bad meat I have to thrown all the meat which I bought and no taste when we cooked it was not even tasty.
Great meat department. But there have been a few times when ordering over the phone resulted in order mixups.

Our family has been shopping at Alsafa since they opened. They have a great variety of middle eastern foods, vegetables and fresh pita bread. I believe they provide a much-needed service to Katy residents that don't want to drive into Houston to get their ingredients for middle eastern cooking. The staff is always helpful and polite, making the customer feel welcome. I also buy my fresh ground beef for kibbeh nayee, knowing that the butcher understands we are making a raw meat dish. I highly recommend this store.
I gave t 1 star due to differences in prices as the price label on item is not the same on price on receipt always 1-2 $ higher i have told the casher that for more than 2 times and always they say we apologize but a get the same next time i don't go there any more this issue should be addressed.
Do not shop here please. Worst "halal" store I have ever visited. The owner overcharges every single item sold in the store. When confronted he explains that he cannot sell the items at the labeled price and he would be making a loss. Absolutely ridiculous. This has happened many times and contiues even when caught red handed.
The owner will over charge you for everything you buy so check before leaving the store! Dishonest and bad customer service.
So I've been coming here for a few years because of convenience but today after going somewhere else, I learned to greatly appreciate this place. Al-safa is family owned, small middle eastern grocery store which packs a huge punch. I very much appreciate the easy layout of the store, although small they have everything I want. I appreciate how well organized and arranged and I can find everything easily. I like all the choices and selections available to me. Foods have always been fresh and appealing and best of all the folks who work there are super friendly.
I've been a regular customer for the last couple of years. Usually I only buy bread here because many items are expired or close to expiration. This one time that I brought back two packs of moldy bread, the manager was rude and didn't even let me finish my word. This was my last stop at this store.
I was introduced to this market by my Muslim friends. I was happy I was able to find fresh delivered flat bread I have been looking for a long time, and they are cheap. If you are adventurous, I highly recommend their pickle mini eggplants. It's filled with walnuts and pepper. I took out one star because the jar of mini cucumber pickles were not sealed, the lid feels as if it was already opened.
