Located at Katy Asiantown, you will not see the restaurant's name in English but the sign with 3 little pink pigs and its name in Japanese. My son and I walked on a weekday after 11am. We sat at a booth. The decor of anime drawings was cute and the place was cozy. There was a group of ladies (about 6 of them) who sat in the middle. Their conversation was loud and echoed throughout the place and this was the only annoyance about the restaurant that I have to put up with. It had high ceiling which was hollow (looked like metal beams) that doesn't suite well when the place gets crowded and noisy. The menu was very limited so we ordered:Appetizers:**Takoyaki - octopus balls, bite size, comes in 6, not bad but would like more pieces of octopus**kushikatsu (pork belly skewers) - over cooked and dry (remove half star)Noodles:You will have to build your own noodles. Starting at $5 you get the broth and add $1.50 for your choice of noodles. The toppings including hot sauce are extra so be careful on piling the toppings you like.I chose the Spicy Tonkotsu and their recommendations from the menu i.e. green onions, kikurage (wood ear mushrooms), narutomaki (fish cake), nori (seaweed) and chili paste. Recommendation also mentioned seasoned egg but waitress left it out from the order. I cannot believe green onions and chili paste are extra costs...shame shame on them... remove one star. However the flavors were there and it was tasty. Be warn with the chili paste...a little goes a long way!My son chose the shoyu ramen bowl which is soy sauce broth along with seasoned egg, grilled chicken, bamboo shoot, garlic oil, butter. The broth was light and refreshing. This was the first shoyu that actually tasted good as others lack the depth of flavor.Overall the ramen serving was a decent size and delicious. The server was nice and was the only one on the floor handling everything. I may come back when I want a more authentic bowl of ramen but rather go elsewhere for my money worths. 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4 star for this review.

This place might actually beat my favorite ramen place in Houston (Tamashi on Holcombe). It has a great umami flavor (not just salty) that you can't find anywhere else in Houston. Very authentic flavors and toppings!! It is a bit pricey, but not too bad. Will definitely return. In response to the person who said this place will do better in Japan, you're absolutely right. This place isn't a "typical American Ramen" place.

Great tasting ramen. Tempura Shrimp Appetizer is delicious. Love the ambiance. Great customer service. Definitely a 5 star ramen! Fun way to choose your toppings too.

It was my first time coming here on 02/25, and came with my 3 other friends. For reference, 2 of them have been here before and have had wonderful experiences. The guy wearing the Twice Tour sweater served us, and was incredibly rude for absolutely no reason. The four of us had shared 2 bowls of ramen between each other, and whenever we ordered, he was judging our choices and making comments about how little we were getting for it being just the four of us. Whenever we went to pay, we asked to split the bill four ways, and he was extremely rude about it and seemed like it was an incredible inconvenience. We had taken a second to discuss us paying amongst each other, and he looked very obviously irritated with us. We ended up just having one person pay since a split bill irritated him so much. The food was wonderful, but the service he provided ruined the experience. Not great for a first time.

Sorry to say I won’t be coming back. I loved the anime wall, all the best were on there!!!! But unfortunately it isn’t enough for me to come back. The menu can be a little confusing and quite frankly it is too expensive. All the add ons are extra and why not just include them in with the broth?Had the octopus appetizer and it wasn’t very good. The sauce on top of them was better than the inside of the actual octopus balls. The tonkotsu ramen broth was flavorful and noddles were cooked well. It was overall okay. But it wasn’t amazing.Overall I spent almost 20 dollars for the recommended ramen and a drink. I didn’t even purchase the octopus balls a friend did. Seriously not worth the price.

The Anime wall is literally why me and my group went. While ordering the whole menu to try out everything we were impressed. Delicious apps as well as the ramen will take your breath away and send u into the perfect food coma to want to relax and watch some One Peice or DragonBall.

It was my first visit, and I will definitely be back. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. I felt that the price was very reasonable for the generous portion given. I highly recommend this for a low frills ramen place.

Came in expecting much better out of the ramen but sadly was disappointed. Ordered the tonkotsu ramen with the recommended toppings and was probably the most bland ramen I've had. I've made much better ramen myself at home which says it alot since I'd hardly consider myself a great cook lol. Also ordered the Karage appetizer which was fresh and hot so certainly a plus on that end but also have had better elsewhere.

Good things and bad things (I visit there quite often)Good things : 1. The broth is REALLY awesome. The taste is very deep. Their tonkotsu broth is the best I have ever tasted outside of Japan2. You can choose the toppings <- Good for people who know and like ramen pretty much. I normally put just egg, chashu and garlic to just enjoy the smell and taste of the brothBad things : 1. Actually, as a food, ramen's entry barrier is not low. I can say they could do better in Tokyo and Fukuoka, where people already got used to the smell and taste of REAL ramens. This restaurant's ramen is really tasty for people who love ramen but it could be hard to beginners.2. We have to choose the topping <- Many people would be like "Oh wait...what should I choose? It's too difficult. Maybe I'll just go to a restaurant where cooks just put everything."I think.... if customers can do at least memo, the difficulty to choose the toppings would be much more easier3. The location of restaurant is not really easy to acknowledge and approach. I hope more people can find this good restaurant.

It was DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend it to anyone with good taste.
