I’m a little bit dissatisfied after reading the reviews and trying this place. The server was nice but a little slow come around to take our order. They were out of the greens on the menu. The server had to come back and tell us they didn’t have either of the dishes we ordered ?We had to look at the menu again. The server was, again, slow to return.When the food finally arrived, I was really feeling kind of ill from hunger. The broccoli was a bit chilly, but the liver and onions were good. My hubby ordered the country chicken. He said it was average.I went because of the veggies mostly.Just a little bit disappointed.
Decided to give this place a try after so many recommendations and it was awful to put it politely. Walk in to a near empty restaurant, hostess/waitress was rude; told us to seat ourselves, no big deal and instead of coming to us with menus or a polite greeting etc she went and sat with a customer to have a conversation. After a few minutes neither of the two waitresses approached us. The first continued her conversation and as we got up to leave she asked what’s wrong and why we were leaving.. I am a patient person but I cannot sit down at a restaurant and not be provided any kind of service or even a decent greeting.. maybe one more shot after this but not anytime soon.
This place is getting 5 stars because of it’s amazing service. Food is always yummy. We love Enchiladas Tampiquena, the fried mushrooms are amazing with their homemade ranch, their pork chops have so much flavor, salsa & queso are so yummy my husband orders a large bowl just for the salsa, they have the best margaritas I have ever had but pre-warning I can barely handle 2 they are so dang strong, I could go on & on about their food. I am a repeat customer & have tried several things & never disappointed.
First time here. I showed up at 11:00 and the restaurant was completely empty, had me worried. Waitress was nice. I told her it was my first time here and she recommended a cowboy Burger, I was leaning towards a burger or an omelette. Flavor was delicious. Restaurant started to fill up was a little surprised there was nobody in there when I came in because the food was flavorful. Will definitely be back to try more of their food. Will update on second visit.
The service here was great! I got the chopped steak that comes with 3 sides. The chopped steak had good flavor but the sides where lacking seasoning. I was full but not satisfied. Food needs some pizazz!
Sure the food would have been great had the server remembered to put our order in. 50 minutes later she offered to put it in with the kitchen, but she had the completely wrong order. They were very kind and apologetic and let us have our 6 drinks for free, which is a big deal. Will not be going back, but the rest of you may have better luck....
Saturday 10am, breakfast. Fast and friendly service. Breakfast was great. chicken fried steak and egg breakfast and Migas. Looking forward to coming back for lunch or dinner. Large parking lot.
Eggs, sliced potatoes, sausage, biscuit and gravy and grilled pork chops with eggs, grits and toast. With super hot coffee and sweet tea. Served up right and hot. Place was empty on a Monday 10:30 am.
Down home cooking and Mexican food. Something for everyone.
Very good food. Nice place and friendly staff. Would go there again. The cheeseburger and fries were delicious.
