This place needs better customer service! My boyfriend was seated and waited for about 5-10 minutes for a waiter, while waiting for a waiter two other parties came in right after him those customers were seated and a waiter assisted them right away while he sat their still waiting to be assisted. Moral of the story he finally got up and just left without even being acknowledged by any worker in this restaurant. He made sure to let the hostess know that they need better customer service and the hostess didn’t even bother to apologize. Mind you this is late afternoon they weren’t busy nor were they backed up. Despite appearances of your customers (my boyfriend was in his work clothes) you guys should provide the same customer service to all customers despite how they look or what they are wearing! Definitely won’t recommend this place to any friends or family! Do better or retrain your employees on what exceptional customer service should be!
Best Italian food, prices atmosphere, service. soooo clean and friendly ! greeted by mgr Rachel, who was so accommodating cuz i’m disabled ! Then server Luz so attentive, as well as Suraz and julia ! great chicken parm and fettuccine alfredo w excellent sautéed veggies ! carrot cake out of this world! $5 froz peach bellinis perfect in Tx 103 degrees heat! a diamond if a restaurant tucked away in Irving, Texas, off airport freeway 183, is so amazing! and i have leftovers - such big plates!! fabulous dining experience!!
I loved old vitos and was hesitant to give the new place a try because expansion usually leads to changes that were the key to the success before. Vitos was the first place i went when i moved to irving 17 years ago. Chicken artichoke and mushroom alfredo pizza and chicken piccata were the staple. I remember the old pizza place salads that were just like a lump of lettuce and tomatoes and ranch dressing that were hot because it sat under the hot foods.. but still managed to be delicious. Now they charge 3 bucks for a salad that came with the meal. But this isnt about the price, they quality is different.First let me say, this place needs to take steak off the menu until u get quality meat or cooks who understand how to season and cook it. Ordered the ribeye for 27 dollars medium rare. The steak was so over cooked i feel like it was cooked, put in the microwave, then back on the grill until u could physically see the soul of the cow leave it. Even for take out they should know that when cooking medium rare to around 130 degrees it should be taken off because it will cook more as it rests. 30 bucks wasted on something comparable to an IHOP steak.Something in the veggie quality is off but i cant quite put my finger on it. Before the piccata was just a bowl with pasta , sauce with capers and two or three chicken breasts and it was delicious. Now they add very over cooked veggie mush on the side/top of the dish to go and ruin the flavor.Asparagus way over cooked with the lobster ravioli. Very light handed on the garlic spread on the bread.. very bland.Salt or more flavor is missing from the classics but the bones of how great it use to be is still there.POSITIVES: Portions are still the best anywhere in town, the food was scorching hot even after drive home, and the young man at the take out counter,(seemed like a highschool kid) was very sweet even though u could tell he was new.Vitos still is a decent place for pizza (Stromboli = massive and good)but i wont be dropping 100 + dollars here for a while after this last visit left me knowing i should have just kept the good memories from across the street.
We came hoping that we could get seated quickly. Especially it being Valentine's day. Which we were. The hostess was very friendly and polite as was our waiter Efrain. The food was excellent. Definitely surpassed our expectations. The drinks we're also very good. Not too strong or watered down. We will be recommending this place and coming back for sure.
I’ve been ordering from Vito’s for ages but I finally sat down with my family to wine and dine. And let me tell you it was a wondrous experience! The hostess was so sweet and so were the waiters! We got check ins whenever we needed from the staff so service alone was amazing. The food has always been good but dining definitely gives it a special pizzazz to it. The proportions are great and it was refreshing to eat something authentic for once. This is definitely the place to be and I will be regularly coming back to this gem of a business.
The pizza was delicious as it used to be 20 years ago when I lived in Irving! However, management needs assistance.I drove up to notice a BIG new establishment across from where Vito's used to be. I turned right by McDonald's, and entered around the back and parked on the side of the building.I entered the door and told the man I needed to pickup an order, and he pointed me to another man. That man asked how he may help, and I told him that I needed to pick up my order. His exact words were, "Dang, I don't know why people enter into that door. It's a big sign on the building that says pickup here."I would normally leave after being spoken to in that manner, but I came here after an HOUR trip across town, and promised my wife I would bring here some Vito's.I asked the man for the manager, and he represented that he was him. I told him he needs some better customer service skills, and had no business with with a public facing position.
When I tell you Doris At the to go register could’ve just A little bit nicer learn how to treat your customers a LOT better I know you’re elderly but you could’ve at least been more professional and I had me repeat myself like two times in person and on the phone anyways I guess whoever takes your order you better make sure that they’re actually in a good mood to make sure the cooks make it right the pizza had too much sauce compared to the other pictures that you see on your reviews are so much better looking! When I dine in it’s better Rachel’s great!! I’m not much of a complainer but you know what over this place because of people like you people go with your gut feeling when you have somebody take your order and you don’t feel good vibes and likely it’s going to come out the way my did!! She denied and of course I got a 10% refund off my next pizzaHopefully this helps people who come from out of town the only really good thing was a salad pasta was OK people hype it up too much.. and when you make sure you ask for light anything double check pls because supposedly since someone was with Doris I’m wrong the manger johnathan stated, distasteful experience!! Try vinnnes down the st at least they wrote their reviews back and looks amazing compared to here.
