Prompt service, a menu that is both diverse and authentic, and nice drink specials. Hard to find good Mexican food like this. Tired of chains? This is your next Mexican food destination.
Tia's has changed the name to Tio Carlos but still has the Tia menu.I had brisket tacos. The meat was good but everything else was not.... The rice was dry and flavorless and the beans tasted dirty. My nephew had to take his cup to the bar to get a refill....not a place I would try again ?
The service was not all that great. My mom ordered queso as an appetizer. I ordered a margarita for happy hour only $5 and my mom ordered coffee. The chips were not fresh she had to get up and look for someone to bring her chips. Walter was our server and usually does awesome but tonight not so great. I ordered camarones mojo de ajo and my mom ordered brochette camarones both of us didn’t get our beans before I noticed Walter walked away. He never came back to the table. Our entrees were delicious just missing the beans. We didn’t have napkins, my mom never got her coffee she ordered. We didn’t have the opportunity to let Walter know we didn’t get our beans because he never came back until we were done. I would have loved another margarita. When he did come to the table I asked him about the beans. He said he forgot his got a personal call with his x wife and had to answer the call. By now my mom was ready to go so I didn’t order my margarita. We still payed full price even though we didn’t get our whole entree. Just disappointed in the service. They weren’t even busy. I only saw Shelly once she must have just arrived she went straight to the back and I didn’t see her come back out. She normally is out talking to the customers making her rounds at the tables snd checking on the tables, Not tonight. Maybe next time I will try take out.
Forgot to take pictures, but we had brisket tacos, carne asada and burrito...all were very delicious. Service was great. Hot sauce, chips and black bean dip were all very tasty.
We stopped at this restaurant on our way to DFW to get a flight home. Everything we ordered was excellent as well as reasonably priced. Service was also excellent. We could not have asked for a better experience and wish that we had discovered this restaurant in our home town. We may have to make another trip to DFW so we can enjoy the food again.

Really good bean dip with red sauce dip.
I had their Brisket Chile Relleno, the meat was beautifully cooked, seasoned and topped with delicious cheese. The salsa and black bean dip were both delicious. Definitely will be back.
So clean and yummy. Delish salsa accompanies the pupusas I ordered and wow, it's a great combination.
Lord have mercy!!! Best best best ever! I've been in Dallas for a week this food was amazing!! The service though even better! Loved it !!!! A must
