went during the AKon convention. our server Alex was so personable, kind, caring and funny. I think we ended up tipping close to 100%, he was that good. we only had 3 drinks but he still checked on us and gave us zero pressure to do more. clean bathrooms and the food smelled amazing. I haven't had Japanese in quite a while and it's one of my favorites so I was excited to dine there before a concert that evening. I enjoyed it very much. I'm not a restaurant critic or professional connoisseur however the only minor dislike was that that both the sushi roll and the noodles were just a little bit "pasty" or slightly sticky or gooey in texture. But the flavor was perfect and everything tasted very fresh and healthy for sure. Actually just about the best soy sauce around and perfect Wasabi and ginger
The bartender and the food servers were nice when I visited on 5/20 between 3-4pm, but the hostess was a little weird with me and the bowl I ordered was not fresh as fresh as the sushi roll. I used to visit them when they were located in a different location in Las Colinas and the food was much better. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food this time and this was my first visit since they moved over to the Toyota Music Factory.
Disclaimer: Review by someone who does not eat raw or uncooked fish. Everything I mention is cooked. So, if you're one of those people who hasn't tried sushi out of fear like I had because you think it's all raw, this is for you. If you haven't been here...man are you missing out. This place has the best sushi rolls I've ever tasted in my life! They're expensive...but they're sooooo good! The ingredients taste so fresh! My favorites are the 121, the sundae, and the shrimp tempura...OMG!!! My mouth is literally watering just thinking about how much I love these sushi rolls. The pictures attached are from a recent lunch date I had with a friend. She had the shark bait roll which is the one with the shrimp in the center and I had the sundae roll. It was her first time and she LOVED IT! I will say the only thing that I would make sure that you know is they upcharge everything by a dollar if you order pickup. I noticed when I had my date with my friend everything was a dollar less than it normally is when I do pickup. However, it's still not going to keep me away. LOVE this place!
