A co-worker took me there for lunch. I'm from a border city so I think that gives me some cred on what good mexican food is. I had the Machaca plate which came with bean and rice. It was good and it was reasonably priced. I will be going back for sure.
Don’t ever buy food from this place. It’s disgusting…I ordered chickens tacos and chicken in tacos is simply boiled with no salt or any seasoning. And it’s not even properly cut into pieces. It tasted absolutely disgusting.This place won’t even worth a cent.
I went there and got some pozole. I've been there before. Bought sopes and tacos and plates. Well they have new staff now. The pozole was super spicy.I asked for limes. They charge extra. Ok no biggie.Well it was way over spiced. The little cup they give you with lettuce was surrounded by onion and cilantro. While there a customer came in who asked for no cheese on an order. Guess what, they put cheese on the order.I am Mexican and no. In Spanish means do not include and is also spelled no. How did they miss that. The gal reprimanded the lady who made the order.Ok now let's back up for a minute. If I went and said no onions because if I get onions. I can die. This is not a matter here they should take lightly. I give it a bad review because the food was unbearable to eat.The place was very very hot and they had one girl taking drive thru orders which are a lot. Running back and forth to that and the front counter. Secondly the owners seem to not care about allergies and properly educating that staff.A single lawsuit over one mistake will put them out of business. If you want people who do orders right and have an allergy. Do not go here. They will not do the order right.If you like hot spicy food. Eat here. I am from Mexico and even there I never experienced food so spicy you can barely eat it and digest.I like their tacos and sopes but after the pozole and the customer checking her food. I felt that it's gone down hill.
The food, service, and the inside were HORRIBLE. This place is so dirty, the staff all collectively share one brain cell, and the food was SO bland, greasy, and not fresh. This being called “Mexican food” is a total disgrace to our ancestors ?
Good portions and the fries are not bad. Horchata kind of funky and the place feels really run down, like dirty and wall paper falling off. Other than that good salsa and good service.
The restaurant is old, outdated, and dirty looking. The food is ok… I used to sorta enjoy it when I ordered through the drive thru, but the last time I visited, I went inside to order. I watched them prepare it and they literally microwaved everything. None of it was coked on a grill or stovetop. It was all microwaved. Seeing that turned me off of their food and I haven’t been back since.
I'll be honest, they have the best lengua burrito in all of DFW.Other places, the taste is bland and usually is better to settle with other meats. Not here at Sam Diego Tacos, I can finally eat a full of flavor lengua burrito. Maybe I'm bias, but coming from California, in 6 years I finally found my spot.
DO NOT EAT HERE. This is by far The worst Mexican food in DFW, do yourself a favor and go to Taco Bell. I promise you Taco Bell is probably 10 times better than this place.They do not have a cook but young girl probably teen who microwaves food. Here is exhibit A boiled chicken with chunks of pinkish dark color without any type of seasoning whatsoever with a slice of cheese straight out of the microwave in a wet soggy $0.05 tortilla. The salsa or whatever the rest was supposed to be had zero favor and tasted old. Somebody will get horribly sick eating raw microwave chicken here. Why the owner goes not review the reviews is beyond me I mean everyone is saying the same thing. Oh well just run!I do not recommend this place.
Very nice young lady at the cashier. The meat had no seasoning or taste. The lettuce and tomatoes seemed freshly cut. The food was very bland no flavor at all. Went to try rolled tacos which are sooo good in San Diego but it was nothing but rolled fried tortilla with barely any meat inside of it complete waste of money. Need to work on a season for their meat or some type of flavor to perfect a signature taste. Red sauce is extremely too hott.
The food here is decent but not really a California ? I was hoping for. Restaurant is not the cleanest looking in the dining area and they forgot my sour cream in my burrito that there was an upcharge for. Overall decent place, but not sure if I'd go out of my way to try this place again.
