Food has always been & remains really good. Too bad they've raised their prices well above inflation rates & their competitors increases.. You don't know what you'll ultimately pay. Menu says $14.95. Note on table indicates a $2 surcharge to keep their doors open. Final bill is $17.81. When Bill questioned, we got a long winded "explanation" abt how they can't afford new menus & unable to explain how $14.95 + $2.00 surcharges comes out to $17.91. We just paid & left.... Wishing them the best....
We were visiting from Michigan and wanted to try some local Mexican food. We chose Rudy’s and definitely made the right decision. I ordered the chicken burritos . I was concerned that they might be too spicy and our server was nice enough to offer to get me a sample. The Chicken was great. The burritos (3 ) came with a lettuce/tomato mix, guacamole and the soft shells. I ordered a side of rice and beans for $3. My husband ordered enchiladas with chicken and sour cream. You get a big basket of chips and salsa when you sit down. There are some great pictures of the family that runs and owns the restaurant in the lobby. The owner was kind enough to give us some personal info on the pictures. I recommend Rudy’s for good food, very attentive and nice staff, fair prices and local.
I've been coming for here for years! The staff is always very helpful and the food is excellent!
Visited for lunch on a Friday, just a few other tables inside and the place wad super hot, AC was not on nor did they have the ceiling fans on. Cup of tortilla soup was tasty and my sour cream enchiladas were good, beans had no flavor though. Beef fajitas were not good and had no flavor. The meat tasted as if they attempted to season it days prior but it lost it completely and the meat was not very tender. The place had an old feel to it as if original to when it opened in the 70's. Not sure if I'd give this place another try.
The foods were authentic and delicious, and price was reasonable. Service was great, thanks to Marcial! We'll definitely go back.
Great place. Food was great, very clean. What a gem!
Amazing food. Never knew about this place. It's tucked away by Beltline on Rochelle in Irving. My Nana took me there for lunch. Great service. Small town personal and friendly family oriented restaurant..thank you! Will be eating here again and regularly.
Rudy's Mexican restaurant has been around for over 40 years they must be doing something right I just did not like my fajitas the portions of beans and rice were very small you would think they were going out of business. They were very little onions and no bell peppers. You can tell the tortillas were of a cheaper brand that got hard when they got cold and they didn't stay hot for very long but the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sure look good that's what I'm going to have next time I go
We always have a good evening at Rudy's.Very friendly and a comfortable atmosphere. Omar and Marcel are very attentive and helpful.
The Service was great! And if you love enchiladas, this place will impress you. Everything was very good and you can tell they truly value their customers.
