My daughter had chicken fried steak with cajun rice, yams and greens with jalapeño cornbread. Loved everything except cajun rice. I had pork chops fried with yams and cabbage and a roll. I enjoyed my meal immensely. Worth the price. We had planned to take out but once we got there we loved the atmosphere and changed our minds. We also had peach cobbler. Didn't get a pic sorry my phone had died as I went straight from work. Next time. It tastes like the ones my mom made.
Delicious food. Good prices. Ok service. We will be back. Everything we had was yummy. The fish was huge and well seasoned
We LOVE eating here! Their food is always so fresh, and tasteful( we never have to add salt or pepper). Me and my family have ordered 9/10 different menu items and have not complained once. Great spot, great food, and fast service!
I stopped in today for my first visit.. small menu but pleased with my choices.. I got the large seafood gumbo bowl, tasty.. entree was fried pork chops with red beans & rice, fries. lightly battered, delicious meal - haven’t seen lemons served with fried pork chops before lol
First time trying this place. I got the chicken fried steak. It was very good all the sides were also good. For the price I paid was very good for all the food. For me there was more than I could would have taken home for later but visiting from out of state.
Attended a baby shower at Po Melvin’s on this past Saturday—-great food for all & wonderful service with super nice people! I had the roast beef sandwich with humongous amount of fries, the roast beef was huge too—-anyway, great food & service!!
Mel was amazing and served our large group of 40 people on Saturday 2/26. He provided such great hospitality and service to this group of health coaches! Yes some of us chose healthy selections and the food what phenomenal. Service was amazing! Very grateful for his amazing care. We will all be back soon!

I ordered online and my order was ready and waiting when I walked in. The shrimp Po' Boy was outstanding. The bread was soft and fresh. Toppings were fresh. The shrimp was seasoned well and delicious. I would've liked an extra shrimp or two but that's just a bit of a nitpick. 9/10.The fries though... they were soggy and unsalted. 1/10 on the fries. I'd strongly suggest getting salt and ranch if you are going to try to eat these things. Even then it might be rough. Po Melvins- please put a little more love into your fry game.
