I live about 2 hours from DFW. I've been to Lupe Tortilla twice. They have the best fajita beef I have ever had. The 2nd time we had brunch. They have fajita beef breakfast tacos, So good! Great margaritas and praline pancake too, my husband and I agree, Lupe Tortilla is our favorite.
Experience felt like fast food with Lupe prices. Food was terrible (enchiladas, tacos, & tres leches). At lunch, they acted like restaurant was closed trying to force everyone to sit in the bar. Don't waste your time or money - worst Lupe in their chain!! Enchiladas tasted like raw chicken. Didn't eat any of it & Tres Leches takes like dry playdough smells; fruit not washed with stems on it.
Nice Tex-Mex place. Went for lunch so I didn't try a Margarita. In our group the lobster tacos, chilaquiles, and fajita burrito were all really good. The salad not so much.
The best fajitas & margaritas so far.The fajitas had a lime-based marinade that made them taste extremely good. The thin paper flour tortillas were a hit as well. The service was excellent, even when our server (Kim) had to spread too thin between all her tables.
Went for an early dinner. They must have been expecting a crowd because there were so many there to wait tables, plentiful bus boys there weren’t any dirty tables. We did have to ask for salt as there were no shakers on the table. We ordered the patrone dinner. 2 enchiladas, 1 taco, 1 tamale rice, beans and guacamole. It was more than enough for two people. It was hot and fresh. Our server Sky came by several times to refill our water and check on us.
Good Tex Mex food. Margaritas were large and potent. Antoine the Manager actually came around and talked to us and wanted to know what we thought. Excellent customer service! Not our first visit and won’t be our last.
We so happen to stumble onto this place while out hunting for Mexican food. This was truly a gem. Food is pretty good and the staff treats you like family. My compliments to the chef on what I would consider the best fajitas I've ever tasted in my life!!! Tried the enchiladas, they weren't my favorite but doable. There were some other items on the menu I dabbled in and others I look forward to trying when I return. Yep, that's right, I plan to go back. And just a small moment of silence for the chili mango margarita. It's everything that dreams are made of. It's a true MUST HAVE. On to the next adventure but Lupe, I'll be back!!
I picked up my bro and his wife from the airport and we all wanted to eat some Tex-Mex. I remember Lupe Tortilla from my days in Houston and we saw it on the Google app. The place was clean and had a good open setting, staff was friendly and we had no problems with seating. We ordered a plate of Flautas and the Mixed Fajitas. Everything tasted amazing the fajita meat came on the platter sizzling, the tortillas were fresh and thin. Honorable mention for the fresh house salsa it was really good as well. Super filling meal and great price.
I found this restaurant evoked a strong sense of nostalgia. The chips were served warm with a side of salsa and beans which were decent. The Classic Texas Mex Enchiladas reminded me of my childhood and college days searching out good Hispanic style food in a small non-hispanic area. With no other options I would take canned tamales, blocks of cheddar cheese and canned Wolf brand chili (no beans) and make dinner on the weekends.
We random stopped here for dinner, and it was such a good choice. The service was so friendly and welcoming. The FOH manager stopped by a couple times to check in, and also gave us a sample of the steak fajita. The food is all very fresh and flavorful. Their house made corn tortillas were some of the best I’ve had. I’ll definitely be coming back here next time in the area.
