I'm giving it three stars because I see Halal cuts potential. If only they would do more research on the way Mexican dishes are prepared in the states. It's a good little place but this could be a great little place. Please start adding lettuces, cheese and tomato to all tacos unless otherwise requested. One small taco shouldn't cost more than $5 buck, no matter the meat. I will continue to visit I just pray that they get better.
Eehhhhhh. I just left and ordered 9 steak tacos, 1 chicken taco and even paid 26.98 for one of their steaks from the produce section. The tacos are so bland with NO FLAVOR. I’m disappointed because I spent $60.43 in there. Smh. So that’s literally 30.00 on tacos that had no flavor. Truly disappointed.
I’ve been hearing a lot about Halal cuts and I finally made the trip over there. The restaurant/butcher is set up really nicely.I had halal Birria tacos in New York recently and had been craving them and was excited to find a local spot that serves them. The afghani brother behind the counter was exceptionally kind and kept having us try samples of different things and everything was really flavorful. We ordered Birria tacos, steak tacos and because it looked irresistible, the freshly marinated steak.I would say the tacos were good, but the steak was extremely good and very juicy. Overall, the food was great, service was exceptional and the overall concept is very unique. Will be back!
Very good. Will definitely be returning. Service was great, price was great, and the food was excellent. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
So glad I found this place when looking for halal restaurants. Their food is amazing and their meat is high quality. The cook who prepared our meal routinely checked in on us and offered us some freshly cooked chicken and a sample of a chicken noodle soup. Highly recommend for those interested in Spanish food as well.
Just amazing food service and vibe.. Fresh steaks that you can look at and tell em cook it now! And it's so good!
We stopped by here last Saturday on our way back home and so glad we did. We each got the taco platter with a variety of different meats including chicken, ground beef, steak, and birria. I myself had the steak and birria, both of which were extremely juicy and flavorful. The tacos were very filling with a good portion of meat, lettuce, cheese, and pico. I’d say the birria tacos were the most filling, and I wasn’t able to finish the last one (got 4). They’ve also got a selection of Mexican sodas that pair really well with the tacos. What really surprised me was the delicious flavor of the rice and beans. To top it off, the service from the chef and owner was phenomenal. The only things I would suggest for improvement would be a better menu, the current one is a slideshow of their different items and it rotates too slow, as well as better seating. It wasn’t busy so we had no issue getting a table, but the chairs were a bit uncomfortable.Overall, I highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious tacos. It’s a bit pricey, especially for the more expensive meat, but understandable given the current hike in meat costs. The platter can range anywhere from $10-15 but will fill you up. Will definitely be back!
Clean and fresh meats...they get sold out really fast. Check out thier tacos and burritos while you're here. Very friendly staff and the place doesn't smell like a meat store.
We tried the goat, chicken, and fish tacos all of them were overpoweringly salty we threw out some of it. The recommended goat meat was very wet which I did not like the texture. I must have gone to this place on its worst day as the owner was doing the cooking and got overcharged as he recommended goat taco I just wanted the deal with the 3 tacos which were priced reasonably. He spoke about the sourcing of his ingredients as his meat business is halal but as restaurant it was just bitter for me my wife and my children. I am hoping this was an isolated incident.
