I had a terrible experience at this place.I went there to order a to-go. There was no one else in the restaurant, other than an old man with beard standing at the counter. I went straight to the counter and asked him for menu card. He reluctantly grabbed it from below the counter.I asked him, which chicken pizza he would suggest me to order, to which he replied “he is not paid to make suggestions on the orders.” OK, fine. I ignored his rude response and started looking at different options.I selected one of the pizzas and asked him to add it to the order. After that, I immediately started looking at the menu card to order some appetizers, BUT this counter guy aggressively took menu card from the counter and threw it below it.I politely asked him to give me menu card again. He gave it to me with hesitation. I added chicken wings to my order and was looking at the menu card to add some beverages. But, again same thing happened and this old man took menu card from the counter even more aggressively this time.I questioned reason for such a behavior, but he didn’t reply and walked towards kitchen door to give instructions to someone in the kitchen. As he came back to counter, I asked him to cancel my order and started to walk out. After which, he had an evil laugh and shouted some gibberish towards me..
This is the first time I have ever written a review but this owner is terrible. This place is terrible. You're better off getting quiktrip or 711 pizza for the outrageous prices they are charging.I ordered this salad and it's supposed to be large portion with chicken breast added for 14.50. Owner did not want to refund me money nor rectify the fact that it's not even chicken strip worth of chicken on the salad. It's soooo many better options for pizza and salads in the shopping center where this place located. If this is what Chicago pizza is like then they should've kept it in Chicago. This place is the prime example of why I vastly prefer to eat home cooked meals and hate trying new places. I really hope it is replaced with a business with better food, staff and prices.Terrible.
my SO decided to take me somewhere i haven’t been let’s just say the pizza was great, just the worker’s attitude that was terrible. he asked if we were ordering to go and we replied to go & he just walked off to the back as we were abt to order and we waited for about 5 minutes before he came back. as my SO was taking out her credit card to pay for the order & the worker took the card and asked whose card was it and then shrugged when she replied it was hers.. we were very confused as to why he asked whose credit card was it as if it mattered. he rudely said it’ll be about 15-20 minutes. he gave us the pizza from behind the counter but as i was getting up from the table he quickly came behind me grabbing my chair as i was pushing in the chair ? weird vibes was all i felt in the establishment. i understand the circumstances of being alone working in a restaurant, but decent customer service and manners really does matter ??♀️
Terrible service. Pizza was on-par with Pizza Hut pan pizza (not Chicago-style; no sauce on top, no layering).Service notes:Man sitting behind the counter hardly moved, was hung up watching videos, barely said anything. Rung up order without letting us know some options were out-of-stock/no longer on menu & he was going to substitute out something he thought was similar enough (strawberry for raspberry, etc).No tableside service, had to go up to serving counter to get deserts. Acted bothered.
If you like your credit card thrown at you and to be talked to as if you should be lucky you were allowed to purchase food from them, then be merry and enjoy...but I haven't even tasted the food and at this point could care less if it's good, they will never get another penny from me! Just down right rude...we were very undeserving of that treatment as he turned our smiles to frowns and regret!
Service was horrible, ended up canceling the partial order and left. Older gentleman was behind the counter helping another customer and person I was with went to the restroom. The man then asked if I was placing an order to go and I replied yes but that I was waiting on my friend to come out the restroom and asked if I could see a menu. The man then made a grunt like getting a menu was a bother. I ignored it and figured it was nothing. Friend came back out and was looking at the menu and the man once again very aggressively asked if we were placing an order to go. We replied yes and was still deciding what to order. The man went to the back and when we were ready to order we walked up to the counter. My friend ordered and then I ordered a traditional pizza, in the middle of my order the restaurant phone rang and man went to answer the phone as if I wasn't talking and then remained on the phone and walked back up to the counter and stated we're only doing deep dish while still on the phone At this point I was done and had no desire to patronize this establishment anymore. My friend canceled the order and we left. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant besides the person picking up the order and I now understand why.
So, I really liked this place and always ordered a mini pizza. But....I got the wrong ordered delivered to me. When I came up to the restaurant, I'd have been happy to pay for another pizza but the owner is rude and and doesn't care about keeping customers. You'll never go back.
I have dined in here and carried out. Both times the pizza was fresh and really delicious. It’s definitely a new favorite spot.
Ordered spaghetti with meatballs, Chicago Bulls pizza, and Buffalo wings. Do not recommend the pasta as it was disappointing. It was so bland, a kid could've made it. The wings and pizza were okay. Embarrassing taking family here who were visiting, but every place was closed due to being Christma eve. Hey, i tried.
I've been here several times and 9 out of 10 times it's been terrible. The order is wrong, the order is burned. Cheesecake was old and and smelled and taste like tuna and bleach. If you order a pepperoni pizza you likely to get sardines instead. There's a lot of substitutions of one ingredient for another that shouldn't ever be an option at all.its a disgrace to Chicago pizzas everywhere. I'm done. Never going back. Huge disappointment.
