Food was ok. Not so great, not bad either. Items are normal price but so is the overall food and experience.Samosa chat - 3 starKhasta kachori ragda - 3 starAloo Tikki chat - 3 starDabeli - 3 starPanner surprise grilled - 2 star. This was a disappointment as we did not except paneer bhurji inside a thin sandwich. Photo attached of remaining half sandwich.
I recently found out this place here in Irving,TX. This place is so good ??I can’t define in words. The ambience, seating arrangements, hygiene, etc. was very good. Staff/management team were very friendly and were patiently waiting for us to pickup the orders. Finally, after 3 years I ate ‘Ragda Panipuri’. Very few places in the US serve panipuri with actual Ragda(chole) and not chickpeas. I felt like having 2-3 plates at once as it was so good? The next item, Vadapav was super delicious and awesome? I could literally feel that I’m actually having all of these in Mumbai..We ordered a manchurian frankie too, which was good, no complaints but maybe I had more expectations because of the typical street style taste buds ?Misal Pav was also yumm, and I would like to request if they could start serving 2-3 slices of lemon on side, because I feel this is how Mumbaikars are used to having this dish.Lastly, we had ordered tea which tasted exactly like typical ‘tapri/stall’.Overall it was a very good experience. Thanks to all the team, chefs and other members for running such a good place ??Would keep visiting this place again and again to try out all the other items on the menu.
Front desk is not at all friendly! I liked their sabudana vada and rava dosa , they seemed fresh but chaat was disappointing and had an after taste of sorts. I would give 3.5 stars if possible .
I drive 20 miles up-down just to have my favourite Sabudana Vada here @ Bombay Chowpatty. Perfect Mumbai style. I just love this place surrounded by colourful food places around.Chowpatty means seashore (beach) in Marathi.Thinking to try South Indian dishes here. Can’t wait.
If you are ever craving Indian street food THIS IS THE PLACE. We wanted to eat pizza, and I was hesitant to come here. I tried the Pav Bhaji a few months before but nothing like desi pizza. I was a little hesitant, but the prize dragged me in. We ordered take out, a little disappointing that there were no paper towels or napkins. We ordered paneer tikka pizza, cheese pizza, and a Bombay Frankie. The Frankie was a disappointment. It was like the Dabeli Bhaji in a roti, I don’t think I’ll order that again. It was delicious, but just not the Frankie I am used to in India.Coming to the pizzas - the cheese was coming off the cheese pizza and not at at all sticking to the base, it was hard to break it apart as they hadn’t cut it properly, and most of the cheese ended on one pizza, but I was able to salvage it. We ordered the panned tikka pizza spicy and they delivered. The dip that went with it was tangy and scrumptious! The pizza was extremely good. It reminded me of those galli bakeries in Hyderabad that sell THESE EXACT pizzas! The base, the sauce and the taste was so similar I was transported back to the noise within moments. The masala soda was good as well, though it is a little sweet, it is still VERY delicious and was gone in moments. If you are planning to have take out, sit in the car and eat it as it’s delicious when it’s hot. The pizza might also get soggy by the time you get home, so eat in the car. Would come back here often.Update: returned after a year and taste is still amazing! Even with the rush hour the team is amazing at handling the orders and getting food on the table.
Great food, not the most clean place but still hygienic enough.
Always a wonderful dining experience at Bombay Chowpatty. ? The menu items are straight from the street vendors in India. ??There’s a huge variety of items on the menu to satisfy any type of taste. This time, I ordered carry-out ?and was pleasantly surprised to see that after my one hour drive home, the Bhel that I had ordered was not soggy. They packed the ingredients separately and this made it possible for us to mix our Bhel at home fresh! ???Highly recommend the Bhel and Dabeli also at this establishment in Las Colinas.
Carried a sealed water bottle inside and the cashier lady in the restaurant was weird about us carrying outside "beverages" since they sold water bottles. I have in the past also carried my own water with no issues, not sure what caught her eyes this time. She had no issue when we ordered another water bottle and kept ours as well. Still went ahead and ordered food since I was really craving Bombay chat, The food used to be good, but the quality seems to be going down as well, just spicy hot and not the usual authentic taste. Will not return back.
If you are looking for typical bombay style vada pav, this is the place. They have sabudana vada n sabudana khichdi which I’m really fond of n rare to get outside india. Loved their combo but it’s only available on weekdays during lunch time. There service is really quick.
This is not an interesting place at all. Prices for Dhosas are ridiculous. I don't know why people are raving about it unless they too have "meh" personality and just like to waste a lot of money on snacks.
