Went with family and friends to what was my recently passed away 99 year old mother. 23 of us met at the gravesite and said our goodbyes then decided to go celebrate the way she would have wanted to do. You would think that a party of 23 (with a tab of $510.00 before tax & tip) would have warranted more than one server!!! Our server worked as hard as he possibly could but received little to no help. The place was almost empty except for our group but the manager on duty made no effort to help. A 20% tip was added to our tab bring total paid to $675.00. I leave a 20% tip for excellent service which we most definitely did not receive. None of our group will ever darken the door of this establishment again. I normally leave outstanding reviews only but I felt the owners and management of this restaurant should know just how bad their job performance is. I was in retail management for 40 years and there was absolutely no excuse for this to happen. They were not short staffed they were just poorly managed.
Been going to this place well over 15 years. Tonight was the worst experience ever. Service was non existent for 25 minutes after we were seated. 3 rounds of chips and salsa i finally had to go to bar and find out where our drinks were. The young lady never put the order in. Got told they were short staffed. I get it but the table seated 20 minutes after us were served drinks and had order taken before we recieved drinks or got to order. This was our goto place to take our out of state friends and family, as we were doing on this visit. We eat here at least once a month or pop in for drinks on a regular basis. The small gesture of comping queso didn't really make it any better. What a shame.....not sure when or if we will visit again.....
Great little restaurant tucked away off the beaten path. Food was incredible, which explains how they've stayed in business for 25+ years. Super friendly service. . . The manager even took her time checking in at each table to ensure everyone was pleased. I'll definitely be back!

What started as a group of 9 dwindled to only 4. As we began with chips, salsa and drinks, the wait staff kept all filled to the brim. We all tried different entrees and we all enjoyed thoroughly. I tried the quesadillas for the first time. Delicious! I usually have the enchiladas and they never disappoint. Too full for dessert, we all said it had been too long since we were there and we’d all be back sooner than later.

I was in a flying hurry and starving so I ducked into this place even though I've had bad experiences before. They sure have improved the appearance of the interior with a bucket of paint and some new flooring. It was about 2:00 PM on Saturday and they won't offer lunch specials thus I have learned to order ala carte because they are way too proud of rice and beans and it cuts the bill in half. I detest any brand that forces their table servers to be cashiers. It's because it's a cheap and sleazy way of dumping responsibility for walk outs on the server. Every restaurant has to deal with thieves and that's part of the cost of sales. To lay that responsibility on an employee earning $2.12/hr demonstrates an amazing lack of morality and an ever more amazing level of greed. This place used to have a central cashier but somewhere since my last visit they have seen the merits of forcing it onto their servers. My food was good, and a considerable improvement over my last visit. I had a crisp taco and chicken enchilada and I was happy with both of them. Their fried tortilla chips were light and fresh and tasted great. I can't comment beyond this because I didn't order anything else. My table server was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The brand has gotten rid of the army of people delivering chips that don't speak English. I'll always wonder if that change came with a visit from the little green men. When they opened this place there was always a young male who didn't speak a word of English dispensing chips throughout the restaurant. I'm leery of the brand because of past problems, but today there were no problems and the food was good. As I mentioned it does not make me happy to find any table server also being cashier, but that's the case. For those who choose to work under those rules they also know they are going to get the shaft in compensation in varying amounts every day they work. Personally I would be looking for another job the very moment someone tried to push this off onto me. I can recommend the place with an asterisk, and I will likely visit them again some day.
