Genghis Grill has always been my dad’s favorite place to go, even after a severe stroke changed all his tastes he loves Genghis, so we decided to take him out after our movie as a treat for him. We shouldn’t have. Came in with our party of 4 and we were seated with no issue. Had our drink orders taken and delivered. Everything was going great and we were happy. The waiter suggested that two of us go ahead and place our orders while my brother assisted my dad to the restroom. Waiter assured us he’d be back to take their orders as soon as they returned. So at his advice, we placed our orders, then asked for Splenda and were told by the waiter he would be right back with it and to get the other 2 orders. It went downhill from there. Waited to the point the ice in the first of our received drinks had melted and still no one returned to take the rest of our order. We asked 4 times for someone to come take our order so that our food did not arrive at different times. Our waiter even walked by our table, looked at us and walked away after the 2nd request. We asked again for our orders to be taken and someone who appeared to be the manager stated he would get our waiter. Our waiter again walked by, looked at us and walked away. Again asked a passing employee if we could get some assistance and she acknowledged us and walked away. Waited another few minutes and still no one came to take our orders. At this point we decided to just get up and leave.I understand staffing issues and I realize this is a hard time to work in the food industry but come on. We are not difficult customers and at no point raised a stink. We try to be polite and always tip at least 25-30%. To be transparent, we own a local restaurant ourselves so I understand and typically try to avoid complaining or leaving a bad review these days, but I have never received such terrible service, especially at $15.99 a person. We just wanted to have a good night with my dad, who we almost lost less than 6 months ago. He now never wants to go to genghis again. :(Please do better.
It's subway but for a Mongolian grill. It's tastiness varies wildly on what you choose to add, but that's what makes it fun.As far as the cooking goes, it's fine. The ingredient list is really good, lots of variety to choose from.If you're looking for an above average place with a fun gimmick, this place is for you.
This was a new and fun experience! I loved it here! Amazing food, great service!I only wish that it wasn't so busy for our server but he did awesome!
This place is dirty. Gnats flying around everywhere.. Had a bug in the bag she gave me with my food. Asked the cook for a long cook to make sure meats were cooked through and he took it off a minute later. Potatoes were under cooked and still hard and basically raw, they also had a spoiled taste to them so I took them all off along with the broccoli. Can here because I had such a good experience at the one in the highlands. Definitely won’t be back
Had a great time visiting with friends & giving them the experience of eating there. They loved it & will be back!
The staff was nice but the the meat looked like it had been sitting out all day, there was raw chicken just hanging out on the counter where you waited for them to grill your food and the floor was sticky and when they brought over our drinks, there was a flea in mine and black flecks throughout my sons sprite! I was grossed out beyond belief.
Every time I come into this restaurant I am blown away by the service I get from a women named Connie. She is my favourite waitress. Ill leave if shes not there that day. Shes quick, polite, and always greets me with a smile. Easy to talk to and is always happy to help. Ive never had any complaints about her. (The other waitresses though is a different story.) Its hard to find good hard working people during these times, so I tip her a good amount for being such a nice and helpful women. So if you go to Genghis make sure you ask for Connie cause she will not disappoint you. THANK YOU CONNIE FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!
Great choices to create my own bowl. Our hostess was awesome. She put the Dallas Stars game on for us to watch. Nice spontaneous date with my BF.
Its a decent place. I like the way you can choose your food and serve yourself. I was surprised to such place and like it too. I can choose spices meat and every other stuffs by myself and they will cook everything at once. I found this place really unique and nice. Some people might not like it because they have to choose and they ccook the things they choose to be cooked. I think price is little too expensive. I really enjoy this place though.
Service was poor. Never got around to actually being able to get a bowl for 40 minutes as a waiter never came around to help or take my order. Just walked out since I'm not waiting an hour to have my order taking.
