I'm a truck driving man and was happy to see the BBQ next to the pilot same ole sludge. I was welcomed promptly by the aromatherapy and staff. The menu was filled with favorites so I settled on the 2 meat 2 sides. There was plenty of good sniffs in this platter. Tender beef brisket and shredded smoked pork needed no sauce hot and delicious as served. Complimented by tator salad and savory baked beans, onions, pickles and Texas sliced bread turned this platter into a picture perfect picnic.

Probably the best BBQ in the state of Texas. It's a place i will always go out of my way no matter what to get to.Why? Because they exceed my expectations every single time in taste, texture & service

Awesome place to stop and grab a bite to eat! THE BRISKET FRIES ARE PERFECT! Plenty of room for a party or a nice big group! Very clean and fair priced!

Mr Bill and I love Mr Hamburger, 1836 Steak House, and La Mision restaurants in H’ville TX, so it was natural to try the sibling of all those eating establishments: Walls Pecan Smoked BBQ. North of H’ville off Exit 118 on Interstate 45, it’s a good sized eating place that also delivers and has a good take away business. Tucked in a travel center, it may be easy to overlook. But DO try it. Decent portions, decent prices, good brisket, pinto beans, terrific fried okra, awesome loaded Mac and cheese. Food is served on disposable plates and utensils which is common in H’ville. Check out the photos of the menu - robust offerings. I LOVE that the place is dedicated to the TDCJ workers to whom they extend a 10% discount. There’s a large dedication poster in the restaurant attesting to their respect for the workers in our prisons….tough and not always thanked. To the reviewer who did not eat there but were quick to judge motives behind the name, shame on you for totally misleading potential customers with incorrect opinions! The walls pay homage to the workers as well as the events they hold for inmates. Historic photos remind diners inmates are people who also enjoy entertainment, riding in a rodeo, and cheering others to victory. Also adorning the walls are many fine specimens of animals who’ve been expertly preserved by a local taxidermist. While prisons and hunting specimens may not be everyone’s preference, the tale of H’ville history is displayed and preserved inside the establishment much as a museum would do.Fill your tank, stop in to look and to eat some good east TX BBQ. Spicy or less spicy sauce tops it off and dessert is banana pudding, pecan pie or chocolate chip cookie.

Amazing staff along with amazing food makes for a definitely amazing experience. The food was extremely tasty, very unique flavor. They would get 10 stars in my opinion, I have to say I ate too much, got back to the truck and had what they call a food coma for sure. Great job and will definitely be back when I come through again.

This place was great! BBQ had a good smoke on it and sauce was good too. The street corn was awesome. The curly headed boy was a well mannered southern boy which made the experience better. I will make this 5 star if you get mustard potato salad. That is all. ??‍♀️

I was gonna take a picture of my food but it was so good I forgot to!First time in here and was not disappointed. Brisket and ribs had an actual pull to them and didn't just fall apart while the pulled pork was moist and flavorful. Mac n cheese is creamy and the street corn was bombdiggity! The thing that topped it all, though, was the peach cobbler. I would never EVER tell my grandmother this, but it was better than hers. If you tell her I'll call you a liar!Staff was awesome and portions were perfect. I'll be back sure nuff!

By far the best taste, perfect tenderness. The brisket fries are absolutely be far the best, add some of their BBQ sauce to it for a sweeter taste which does not take away the flavor of the brisket. Absolutely a #1 place for BBQ, with or without family. Thank you for your hospitality and given respect to me,a stranger.

We ran into someone at the truck stop who recommended this place and I’m so glad we stopped in! The menu had pulled pork nachos, but I asked if I could have brisket instead. Absolutely delicious! I couldn’t even finish it all.The crew working tonight were beyond pleasant. These boys really had it together to be working without a supervisor and I loved their customer service. I didn’t get any names, but the young curly headed guy was superb and his authentic mannerisms were greatly appreciated.
