My experience here was fairly mediocre. I assumed by the 4 and 5 star reviews that the place would be excellent but it just wasn't.Tried the Crispy Garlic Chicken and the Lemon Katsu and both of them were fairly bland entirely, the white steamed rice we had been given was also pretty dry.Service was ok but the employees didn't seem to want to be there and I don't blame them.Atmosphere is something I rarely comment on but the place looks beat up inside and out. The art has been ravaged by time and they decided to stick a stereotypical and overused shot of the Great Wall of China on the back wall for some odd reason. As if that has anything to do with China in the modern era or food. That's not even my main complaint; the place was really dark inside getting close to evening.
Ate here about 3 weeks ago. Ordered shrimp fried rice. It didn't taste the freshest but I didn't think anything of it. My kid went to go play basketball and when returns home he says his face is burning. To my horror my kids face is swollen, red, unrecognizable. I had to rush him to the ER. A $23 meal cost me $500. I would suggest they monitor their food and ingredients or have health inspector visit to make sure food is in compliance. I have eaten here several times I will never come back. I will upload photos of my kids face soon.
Ordered for the first time and disappointed. Food was delivered late and the food was cold.I can say the spring rolls were good after a warmed them up.Been trying to find a good Chinese restaurant since I moved here. Haven’t found one yet!
This place isn’t what it was. The quality of the food, along with the service has gone down hill.Whoever hired the high school kids needs to be fired. Not one remembers orders. They lounge around in the front once they take orders and watch their phones.
Love this place. They always prepare my food nice and fresh the way I want it!!! Everyone has always been friendly.
Finally a Chinese restaurant that has food full of flavor and great ingredients. I got the lunch special, Chicken Lo Mein. For under $9 I received a soup, fried rice, egg roll, and entree. I will definitely be back.
I hardly ever go out of my way to review a restaurant unless they do something completely despicable. But Tai li is quite the opposite, it has been my go to Chinese take out restaurant since we moved to Humble when I was 11. I remember begging for Tai Li’s for dinner all through both middle and high school, and also looking forward to eating Tai Li’s every time I came home from college. Well I am now 23, and my parents are moving away from Humble Texas and It would be a serious remiss not to give Tai Li’s its proper praise. Thank you for over 10 years of amazing food. I will continuously rave about this restaurant to anyone who’s willing to listen.
They have a great lunch menu. Unfortunately it's gone from seven dollars to probably nine right now but in this post Covid world that's in line with a cheap meal. You can still get your entrée, rice, egg roll, soup and tea for that amount of money. So that's definitely not a bad deal. Also I'm glad to report that you can no longer smell the dishwater once you walk in the front door. It seems like they've gotten their kitchen plumbing problems solved. Hooray for maintenance. Also it seems like the flavor of the egg drop soup has been improved. I think they now use chicken broth like most people rather than beef broth. So in light of all the improvements over the last few years, I raised their rating to four stars. Not to deceive, understand this four stars is relative to other economical, casual restaurants where you are looking to leave full and not pay a lot of money. It's not the four stars that you might find in the Woodlands or downtown and you have to wear a coat and tie to get in!
We really like the food here & the staff is very nice. One of the waitresses always remembers our order and goes the extra mile to make our visit enjoyable. Delivery is very prompt and the drivers are friendly.
The place always smells like sewage. You have been a staple in this community for years. Please invest money to update the appearance and repair whatever sewage issue there is. Very nice staff but this has to be a health and safety issue.
