Mixed bag:Service was immediate and helpful, store was clean. Glazed donut and cinnamon twist were VERY good.Disappointed as there were no apple fritters (did not make them that day) and the sausage in the kolanches tasted more like jerky. Settled for an apple filled but was not nearly as good (too sweet) as I was hoping with the apple fritter would have been....
We love do-nuts, and we like Shipley. The people here are just fantastically serviceable. Come early in the morning for the best fresh out the oven stuff. Kolache’s are just much better and bigger than the “DumKing dog-nuts”. Today their lobby was closed, maybe because of CVD. That’s why I’m reserving the extra star. Overall, good choice for the buck.
There was a long drive through line, but it was processed very quickly, and the glazed donuts were hot and fresh.
I have been to this location repeatedly, and constantly given the wrong order. I repeat my order multiple times to the people at the window and have yet to actually get my entire order correct. The sad part is I only ever order 3 donuts at a time so it's not like I am ordering food for 10 people.
We went today at 2:30 pm, and the lady working at the North Park Dr. location said that they were closed. When we mentioned the business hours at the front door (until 3 pm), she answered that it was the time that the employees leave the store. It was clearly a lie...When have you seen the business hours written in front of the store to not be business hours....?
The donuts are good enough quality, but I never the correct order when I'm getting a custom dozen, and they set donuts on their side so the frosting gets everywhere. If they could actually get my order right and set the donuts face up, I'd still go there instead of Dunkin' because they do a baker's dozen instead of a hard dozen.
Hours are not as listed here. Trying to beat traffic to get there before 6... For naught. Now back to traffic to get home. Hooray.
New experience: one star for sure. Make sure you check you order before leaving. I only ordered 3 items something easy and was given only 2 items. I did not call to argue with them if I received the item or not. Sure was charged for it though. Have a nice day, view on this company is changing big time for me. That might of been my last time at the kingwood location for a long time.
This is not a bad place to eat. They need to go through the collapse and pull out the stale bread.. The clerk at the window was friendly.
I've been eating their donuts since I was a little boy , there the best I've had. Get there early in the morning and they melt in your mouth.
