My husband ordered $40 plate of fajita for 2 and this is what he got. I bought a chimichanga and the chimichanga was small like a kids plate. The amount we get for the price we pay isn't worth it at all! I don't think I will be returning
Ordered the con queso thru Doordash and my 10 year old daughter stirs the dip and these pieces of hair comes up...called them and they say call doordash to get refund. We don't want a refund we want food...never eating at this place again...
Our family has been going here for years for birthdays and we never had problems. Every since the long time manager left, it has not been the same. He always made sure that we received great service.There are better choices of Mexican food in the area, but we have always gone to Montereys due to the manager and the friendly atmosphere that he fostered.I took my sister and family on June 13th f or her birthday and was very disappointed for the first time. There were 6 happy birthday balloons in the middle of the table along with a birthday cake, yet none of the staff members or waitresses acknowledged that there was a birthday. I wanted it to be a perfect birthday lunch, but just the fact that they didn’t at least pretend to care upset me. Before walking out the door, I went to the counter and said something, and the employees reluctantly came to the table to sing happy birthday on our way out the door. Unfortunately my sister noticed that I had to ask, and that left an impression on her as well.Montereys is just not the same anymore, although I was told that the prior manager received a well earned promotion.
I absolutely love the queso cheese dip mixed with their green sauce. However I was completely disappointed with the Chili Relleno. It was battered with cornmeal and kind of reminded me of catfish. Also the steak was salty. Like i said very disappointed.
There manager Abraham said some unacceptable things to my wife about how many kids we have , how can we afford them , you have to many kids , dont have any more kids, this is unacceptable from a manager. He is very lucky that my wife told me after we had left. He is unprofessional and i hope corporate and the general manager take the responsible and displianry actions.
My personal opinion was that they do not have real Mexican food, they lack more flavor and professionalism, what I experienced there was that they were sweeping while I ate and I smelled the dust and also the dish that I ordered was not for two, it was just for one, very little food.Dine in: Yes
My 1st time coming here was on friday for lunch we decided to get food to go, it was cinco de Mayo so I expected the place to be busy. As I walk in I have to ask the hostess if I can order to go. She proceeds to tell me to go order at a different table were me and my husband stood ignored by all staff for about 10 minutes until I decided to ask for a manager. She graciously took our order and apologized for the wait. Excellent service from the manager. Hostess and other staff not so much. Food was pretty good typical Tex mex. Maybe next time we’ll dine in instead .
I will not be going back there. The server was very nice, stacy. But the food was not good. I think they had the corn enchiladas out to long and then heated them with the cheese in the microwave. What happen to the good food there back in the day. I'm very very disappointed ?
