We had Grand Garden today for the first time and loved it! I've had trouble finding good Chinese food since I've moved to Houston so I was so happy once I got home and tried my meal. I got the combination fried rice and pork fried rice for my husband. The servings were large, we could only get through half of our meal. Perfectly flavored and moist. We have found our new place for takeout!
I normally love Grand Garden. Let’s just be honest it’s cheap Chinese food but so yummy. Tonight I was craving Chinese food so I got what I usually get wonton soup, combo lo mein, and egg rolls. The order was delivered on time. The wonton soup was very hot but they didn’t put the crunchy strips that usually come with it. In my opinion it’s just not the same without them even though the soup was good. The lo mein was probably the worst I ever had. It was not very hot and the noodles were way over cooked very mushy. The lo mein also had a very strange taste. It’s almost tasted like old fry oil, very off putting! The quality of the meat was also not great and there was only 2 pieces of chicken, 5 pieces of beef, and 3 very small shrimp that were fishy. There were hardly any vegetables as well 2 pieces of cabbage and 1 piece of green onion. The egg rolls also tasted of old fry oil but cooked well. I know that the cost of everything has gone up but raise your menu prices and still serve the same quality. After this experience I will not be going back to Grand Garden. It was a complete waste of $24 dollars. It makes me sad to write this review but no one should have to pay that price for food that wouldn’t even be served at Panda Express.
I’ve eaten Chinese food most of my life. I live in another state and anytime I visit Houston, I make sure to stop at the best Chinese restaurant in Texas. Have tried most of the items and they are all solid. Go-to is house fried rice and beef with broccoli - best Chinese food in Houston! Simply amazing - I tell strangers about Grand Garden and I don’t even live in Texas that’s how good it is!
Was in the mood for Chinese and had yet to find a place that had that fresh and not over batter burned taste. I found this place through Doordash and I was happy to see the food look great and taste Good. I had enough leftovers for the next day.
It's all worth it❗If you want quality asian cuisine You will visit the Grand Garden. I highly recommend this venue❤?????
This place is close to our home and they are always quick with delivery and the food is always delicious! Great vegetarian options, really great meat options as well! Love the orange chicken and General Tso's chicken and the Triple delight really yummy scallops! It makes me sad they have anything less than a 5 star rating, because they are bees knees.
Over all good food, probably some of the better chinese food in the area with fair prices. The szechuan wontons are an absolute must! I've only had an issue once where they didnt give me all my order but with one quick call they fixed that no questions asked
This place is my favorite Chinese to go place.My friend recommended it to me and it did impress, definitely recommended if you like Chinese food.
