Big Daddy potato was great. Their ribs are awesome. Sausage with the potato was great. Ordered a side of sausage and it was very dry. Wouldn't order that again.
I was looking for an old-fashioned, home-style meal. Gilbert & Sons did not disappoint. The meatloaf rested on a bed of mashed potatoes with a tasty sauce that accompanied without being overbearing. With that, the smoked greens and mac & cheese were delicious. Only one thing could end a meal like that and they had it: delicious pound cake. It made me happy!
What a terrific roadside BBQ joint. I had the Big Daddy potato with a side of greens. The potato was enormous, perfectly cooked, and loaded down with some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The greens were, for a lack of a better word, perfect. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfect portion. Best greens ive ever had. All washed down with a fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade that I will say was delightful. Not to sweet, not to sour, just fantastic. A must stop in Houston.

This place is amazing! I had the gumbo and brisket and both were fantastic. They were so kind served us personally on our film set and it truly is great bbq with an amazing, smokey aroma.
