Was excited and had been planning to eat there at some point in time during my stay all week. Finally went there expecting to dine in but was not so nicely informed take out only...no, I want to sit and eat so we left and chose another restaurant. So disappointed cause I was really wanting to eat there and possibly leave an awesome review of the food. A restaurant is about a dining experience just as much as the food. Please realize your possibilities and reopen. Thank you.

Great authentic Peking duck, even as takeout. The duck meat is tender but the skin crispy. For leftovers, I re-crisped the skin by heating the skin by itself over a hot pan. For my chicken noodle order, Bamboo House separated the chicken+sauce from the noodles. The noodles had peanuts and a light coating of sauce, which was a delicious meal by itself even without the chicken+sauce. Maybe the noodle was handmade, it was chewy and excellent. The chicken+sauce tasted great and made for another separate meal when I added it to salad greens. The Wow wonton soup was very tasty, but the wonton skin was thicker like dumpling skin. They gave such large portions. I don’t understand how they survive the inflation, and hope they don’t go out of business.
Just very authentic Chinese style street food flavors with inexpensive price. The seafood is very very fresh! Recommended!
Been patronizing this restaurant for the past 4 years on and off. Hadn't been since late 2020. Decided to get an order of the Special Beef noodles and Chicken with Vegetables. Not sure what kind of meat they are serving as of lately, because it definitely wasn't Chicken. As I was eating it did not have the texture nor consistency of chicken. Also found tiny little bones that weren't a usual looking chicken bone. That had to be a rodents bone ??????. I am very aware of the Asian culture and they are known for consuming rodents of such. Not my cup of tea. If I ordered Chicken that is what I very well expect. Will no longer be patronizing this entity.
Just got back from bamboo house just before they closed. I had salty chicken in my order and also asked for vegetable fried rice. Didn't get my rice. And also the chicken was extremely cold and old! Has an ugly chemical smell to it. Also tasted it with my finger and it's horrible. It tasted old and spoiled. Like they were just trying to get rid of it. They knew what they were giving me and I'll be going up there tomorrow since they're closed now.
Great place for Chinese takeout that is not in Bellaire or Katy! However beware, everything is really juicy so open with caution. Got the bok chop with mushrooms and tofu and that is a really good dish. That and the boiling hot beef noodle soup (it was still so hot 40 minutes after I picked it up!) made my tummy happy. Food is very fast (15 minutes), are huge portions at a decent price. What you see in the picture is $25 and is honestly good for three full meals.The restaurant is takeout only right now but super convenient still being close to the Houston international airport (also 15 minutes away).
I’ve been passing by this restaurant for years and only upset that I didn’t try it sooner. First time trying it today and I have to say I’m very impressed. Food was excellent and portion sizes were very generous. I will be a regular customer from now on and look forward to trying more food on their menu.
Still only takeout ruins the restaurant. Drove all the way cuz it said dine in. Its only delivery and takeout. They do this so they don't have to hire servers ?. And they still mandated masks? Last time I went was 3 years ago for my first date with my now husband. We were gonna go for our 3 year anniversary. Greatly disappointed even alittle mad because it was the best Chinese food in greater greenspoint now its over. So FYI there only delivery and pick up.
Delicious food, byob wine, yummy seafood and noddles plate and the rice was perfect!I recommend! Best Asian food near Montrose/med center.
