This place is the best. Down home, honest, no nonsense Cajun food. Always delicious, always dependable. You can't go wrong.

Moved to Houston 20 plus years ago, and I started working in downtown Houston in 2004. I was blessed to have a coworker introduce me to Zydeco Diner back in 2004! Every since then, I've made this a regular dine in lunch spot for lunch with friends and to-go's on other days for myself! If you want really great food, with no frills and no pretense...just DAMN GOOD food this is your spot! What you waiting for...go now! EVERYTHING is good!

If you are looking for some of the most authentic, best tasting Cajun food in Houston, your search is over!! You have got to try this place if you want scratch made gumbo and other essential Louisiana specialties.

Only open from 11 am to 2 pm, and that is the only bummer. The food is awesome. The catfish is great, and I love the crab cakes.

The food isn’t even close to a decent meal in New Orleans but it’s not terrible “creole” food. It’s a little bland for my taste, like if Lubys had a creole section!

Found this place as it was next door to where I had to work today, but I wish I found it sooner, seafood tastes fresh, I had a shrimp PoBoy and the bread was toasted perfectly, everything about it was great, the French Fries were awesome. The Service was phenomenal, Marty brought me something to try as I was enjoying my PoBoy. Nice Environment, Great Food, Friendly Employees. Will be coming back.

The Food and Prices is good and affordable.

Located on corner of Pease St. I was excited they had parking until I was greeted by Marty & took my first bite. I felt like in was in Louisiana eating moms cooking ? & listening ? to Cajun tunes. The entire time holding back the sniffles from a great seasoned meal (black-eyed peas, rice, green beans & corn) folks from Louisiana could relate & appreciate. It was so good I ordered food for ? dinner.
