I found this place accidentally and wS so glad I did. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is 5 star. I has Waatke with fish and Kelewele. Each bite was heavenly. The presentation of the food is pretty. The best Ghanaian food is definitely found at Zongo!
The food is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I tried Ghanaian jollof for the first time at this restaurant and it taste good. I also tried the waakye and fish. I will definitely recommend this restaurant. Their customer service is impeccable. The ambiance is nice for picture too
The owner is amazing but works alone, seemingly. Food is great, but I recommend you try the sausages and jolof. Very hole in the wall-esque but worth the visit.

My experience at Zongo was amazing. The food was delicious and the servers were so friendly and welcoming. I got the Smokey jollof party bowl with my choice of fried tilapia, an order of beef suya, and the zongo juice. Everything was good!
I visited during lunch and was glad to see popular Ghanaian dishes among the lunch specials. We ordered waakye and jollof rice both with grilled chicken and coleslaw. Additionally, the waakye had some stew, shito and gari while the jollof had fried plantain. Our server was friendly and courteous also.

We were passing through Houston and found this restaurant on Google Map. We have not regret our decision to stop and eat there. The Food is Heavenly delicious and Loretta, the owner, is the sweetest and friendliest person we have met. It was my 1st time tasting Ghanaian food and we will definitely come back for more !
First and foremost the restaurant was pristine and the atmosphere was welcoming. I ordered the whole fish platter was exceptionally rich with flavor. I nearly ate my plate!!
