It's always fun hanging out here with my friends and enjoying a few beers, skewers, and laughs. The lady is very nice and the food is superb! My favorite skewers have to be the lamb fat and chicken gizzard, and the fried rice reminds me of the food my mom used to make me as a kid. Definitely a place to try at least once!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The lamb skewers are the best we've had outside China. We also get the sweet and sour pork almost every time. I like the barley tea and the herbal tea that comes in a red can. About 10 skewers per person is a good amount. The service is also very good.
We got the K1, K3, K8, K15, and K33, everything was just right. My older son’s favorite food was the Marinated Lamb Skewer ?, they didn’t like the beef but the lamb really catches them. We ordered 2 more rounds of K1, and he told me he got 7 burps?, he loves to come back?
I got the combination pork, beef and shrimp fried rice. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!
Went on an adventure with a friend in Chinatown trying random places. The food here was delicious.
Delicious skewers, the fatty beef and fatty lamb are so flavorful and tender, not over cooked at all. Flavor of the meat and the seasoning is on point. I also really liked the fried pork, it seems to have tapioca starch inside and it tastes great!
The BBQ here is always pretty good and the service is fast.
Xinjiang BBQ in Houston, TXThis reminded me so much of my life in Beijing because I would eat Xinjiang food at least weekly there. I love the mutton or lamb and goat dishes that were so different from the traditional Chinese food. Dapan Ji or big plate chicken was always fun community style dish served with flat noodles in a spicy chicken stew. This version was good, close enough to what I remember eating in China but had way too much oil. The skewers are the star here, lamb, enoki mushrooms wrapped in pork belly and bean curd stuffed with chives (although I could have done without the bean curd one because it lacked flavor). Ask for the spice powder to add more to your liking.
Good place to enjoy lamb skwer and Chinese food. Beer price is good as well.
The lamb sticks are on point! If you like traditional Chinese street food, I highly recommend them. Also, right next door they have fresh never frozen made by hand dumplings and steam buns. If you want some authentic anime food I recommend both places. I don't have pix of the lamb sticks but I do have pix of the dumpling shop and if you never had a steam bun your missing out!
