I am a regular customer and I order almost every week. Tonye takes my order always and my record can be checked. I have never complained but today’s rice is totally bad. It is spicy and not delicious at all despite writing an instruction while placing the order. If not for the distance, I would prefer going to the Beechnut location. They are as well saying goodbye to a customer who has been patronizing them for years.
Worst Nigerian food, I've ever tasted!!! With a few dish exceptions. I was Very disappointed!! I took the cooked food to other Nigerians and they said it was not good and tasteless. They asked where did you get it from? I told them where I purchased it. I must add that the staff were great and friendly in both the grocery market and restaurant! What I purchased was Suya, Moi Moi, Jollof rice, Puff puff from the grocery, awful!! From the restaurant, I purchased some Custard soup with Bitter leaf, Vegetable soup, Stew with rice, Honey beans, Fufu and Plantains. I ordered an office brunch for a group of Attorneys. They were displeased and I felt not good inside about bringing the food . They sent me to Naeto's restaurant and Amala's in which they were pleased with the food.
Wide selection of African food. Restaurant on site. Both clean and items are fresh always. Food is good.Staff and owner are respectful.Would have given a 5-star, but you’re made to pay for containers if you buy more snacks from the store. I think it should be free
The kitchen staff need to manage their time well. They need to make sure that they meet up with the pick up time. I almost rejected the food I ordered due to poor time managemen.
Good food and Good People. Lovely place. You'll find any and everything African items here. Prices aren't bad too.
It was a great weekend and an experience there. The food was good and the service was great. I don’t know her name but she is light skin and very polite. I love the egusi soup with fish and goat.
Quite alot of Nigerian food items. The edikaikong soup was delicious. And the free shortbread biscuits, Indomie packs and lucozade drink was a good bonus
This review is to warn potential customers about purchasing Knorr cubes from Wazobia African Mkt. Currently a pack is being sold for $2.99 a drop from $6.99 but the date of EXPIRATION is blocked off with some clever but dubious technic. It is obvious that expired (Knorr maggi) is being sold to hard-working people on the Shop floor. Even if they remove the expired knorr maggi from the shop floor my guess is they will end up being used in the Kitchen. Please check for dates of expiration when in this store (Westheimer location). Other stores like Heb or Walmart will reduce the prices of their items somtime months or weeks before expiration depending on the item in question but Tunde wants Maximum profit. BUYERS BEWARE OF PAYING FOR EXPIRED ITEMS. You might have an upset stomach.
The odor near the meat area was deadly! Their other location on beechnut is much cleaner and has a more tolerable odor
A very clean store. The shelves are well stocked with essential products. The employees are very courteous with the customers. I will recommend Wazobia to anyone for their impeccable services
