After a recommendation from the hotel staff, decided to try this place out for some good Mediterranean takeout. I got the platter for two, which includes beef and chicken kebabs, hummus, tabbouli, and salads. Everything was fresh and delicious and served in reasonable portions. The beef and chicken were both well seasoned and cooked, and the hummus was one of the better versions I've had in the area. The tabbouli was fresh and tasty, but had a bit too much water for my taste. The woman who took my takeout order was friendly and efficient. I'll be back here soon and recommend this place to everyone.
My new go to for gyros and tabbouleh. Gyro had a good ratio of meat, veg, sauce with the meat done just right. Tabbouleh was a nice light refreshing side with to the gyro. The hummus appetizer had a great flavor and came with the pita bread still warm. Altogether a tasty takeout :).

The gyros and shawarmas that I’ve eaten here were delicious. Friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommend.

Every time I visit my daughter I make sure to stop by and eat at Wael's. I live in Palacios and no restaurant there compares to Wael's. The owner and his family are very welcoming, the service is impeccable and the food is delicious! You have to try their food!
Staff was nice, lamb shank was good, the kibbe was kind of boring and the bread that came with it was dry and tasteless. We also got a beef shawarma, the bread wrapping was also dry and tasteless, and the beef was chewy - I thought it was ok, my wife thought it was not good.Our waiter asked how the food was, when I told him he said something like "that's what shawarma is like" which was kind of annoying, I've had lots of shawarma in my life, don't ask me for my opinion of the food and then tell me I'm wrong...We won't be back.

I love Mediterranean food so thought I try a different restaurant so came to Wael’s. Server was very sweet, friendly, and helpful. I put in my order for take out and as I stood waiting for my food I peaked at the cook and was disgusted and sick to my stomach for the fact that he was not using “NO GLOVES”. He wasn’t washing his hands regularly either touching everything in that kitchen plus handling food. I never leave a review but this one was just disgusting with the no gloves never coming back here ever again. By the way the food was tasteless no flavor even a food truck foods taste better thanthis trash.
