I ordered a Thai Tea, chicken banh mi and an order of egg rolls. The staff was friendly and the order was to go, it might of been 10-15 minutes for the whole transaction and receiving my food. Great for my lunch break.Egg rolls: not the best I have had. I only got one leaf of lettuce. I would not order these again.Banh Mi: They we’re generous with the chicken. It was too salty for my taste. The tea was really good. I would not order the same items again but I would try other items that they have on the menu.
The portions are big! I forgot to take a picture of my pho with brisket but it was good. The broth could of had a little more flavor depth but overall I was happy with it. The Banh Mi was awesome. Bbq pork was tender with a nice caramelized sauce on it. Pickled veggies still had a nice crunch. The only thing I missed was a little mayo.
Not authentic Vietnamese. I should have known when I called to order a bun thit nuong cha gio and the immediate response was "No one understands Vietnamese here. Nobody is Vietnamese here" without my asking. Surprised I asked if this was authentic or fusion as I was as not in the mood for fusion. They told me it was still authentic and not fusion so I ordered anyways because it's close to where I live. Not fusion, yes, but feels like a poor imitation unfortunately. The spices to marinade the meat seemed very off and don't really taste at all like how the dishes are supposed to be. The nuoc mam didn't taste right at all.If you like it, that's great. If it's close to you that's good too. But it kind of make me sad that this was promised to be authentic and it's not even something you'd find at a subpar Viet restaurant. The taste was unlike any Vietnamese vermicelli I've ever had and not in a good way. I don't like leaving low rating so I guess perks of this restaurant is that it's very fast (however, Vietnamese food can usually be prepped quite quickly) and the location can make it a convenient stop if midtown or Chinatown is too out of the way.
With pho you either get it right or you don’t. Good pho starts with bone broth, onion and ginger and this place gets it right. You order and pay at the counter. If you pay by credit card you are asked how much you want to tip. I find this practice objectionable before you have even gotten your food. But it is common practice in the area.I ordered a combination pho. There is only one size that’s equivalent to a medium or a large bowl. It had more brisket than I expected and was delicious. On the other hand, they are stingy with the bean sprouts and dandelion.Overall this is a good bet and you won’t be disappointed.
Sub par Vietnamese. The egg rolls are made of some disgusting mistery meat. I bit a small piece and retuned it. The non-english speaking lady said I'm sorry, that's how we make it. And refused to take it back. There are literally hundreds of Vietnamese places way better than this one.
So the pho that I’ve ordered is…okay. It just needs more flavor, and I have a feeling they skimped out on the msg (msg is a natural occurring chemical in foods to bring out Umami). The pho that I had gotten was too oily, to the point where I could see a thick ( it was a lot for pho, like a good inch) layer of it. They probably didn’t trim the brisket, and had left too much fat on it, which contributed to the oil part. I was disappointed that I couldn’t taste the spice, as even the hoisin sauce and sriracha hadn’t lifted any of the existing flavors in the broth. The noodles and meat were on point so I applaud for that. The price was also…okay, but I wouldn’t want to go back to pay nearly $13 for an oily mess, when I could get a larger bowl for $10, with more flavor and less fat. I haven’t tried out their other dishes yet, so I couldn’t fully gouge how good this store really is, food wise. Best thing I could tell you, is that it’s mid average for pho, probably less if you take out another person with more pho experience. But hey, that’s just my opinion, you can take it with a pinch of salt.
Really good sandwiches, stuffed full! Egg rolls are ok, a little over cooked but will give them another try.
Food was only okay. Ordered delivery through door dash and the restaurant left off a lot of my order and blamed door dash. When I called to point out a lot of my order was missing the female who answered said nothing for a solid min and I asked her if she heard me and said yes but that this was door dash’s problem. I told her she was the one who left my food and drinks off. They left about 20 dollars worth of my order because she’s too lazy to check the order before it goes out. She said I had to get a refund from door dash. Terrible TERRIBLE customer service. Very lazy staff. Was charged for many extra sauces that they didn’t pack as well. Do not recommend
The shrimp vermicelli and the pork vermicelli we're both amazing. My husband also enjoyed the spicy soup. The noodles and fish sauce in particular were better than other places I've been.
Sexy older lady working the counter great customer service but didn’t know what tripe was lol!! Gave her a little treat for great service but she could have gotten a bit more than that!! ???? oh yeah the food is fuxking delicious!!!
