Asked explicitly for food that was not spicy and received EXTREMELY spicy dish. The food that wasn't spicy was mediocre. The crepe layered dessert was fabulous. Service was lacking--inattentive, uninformed--wait staff seemed quite inexperienced and without good customer service skills.
We went for HRW 715pm, wasnât very busy. The table next to us had been used 3 different times while we were there. Party of 5. We never got offered another bottle of water to be refilled. Had to wait a few minutes for everyone to get the main course. Took almost 45 minutes to get our dessert. Manager never came by our table after host asked if heâd stop by twice.

Toro Toro is my new favorite restaurant in the city. Everything we had was phenomenal. Will definitely make it part of our regular date night spots.
I took co-counsel from out of town who had never really been to Houston before. We had had reservations somewhere else, but there was a terrible storm that evening, so I figured eating in the Four Seasons restaurant would be just fine - after all, it's the Four Seasons. I had eaten lunch there a few months prior and the service had been very slow, but the food had been good so I assumed it was an anomaly and we would be fine. We were slow to get water and be seen by our waiter, but once we ordered, our drinks and appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time. When our food came, however, our steaks were incorrectly cooked, with mine being very rare instead of medium rare and my colleague's being well instead of medium. She sent hers back, and it took over 20 minutes for them to bring her a new steak. The other two of us at the table had pretty muhc finished our food by then. When the steak finally came back, it was extremely rare, so she had to send it back again. Our waiter was doing the best he could, but the kitchen clearly did not have its act together, and the manager - while apologetic -did not help or really know how to properly address the situation. They comped my colleague's steak and gave us a "free" dessert, but they chose it for us, and it was not very good (and let's be clear, I have a very low bar for a good dessert!). Quattro was so good, especially for a reliably excellent business lunch, and it makes me sad that its replacement is so lacking. I hate to give a negative review, but it was embarrassing to have such a bad experience when I was trying to show off our great city.
