light and fresh local seafood is always delicious
rich and indulgent food. Very attentive service, your glass is never empty! great wine list, music and vibes are all there. very cozy and intimate.
Great service. Great view of the kitchen from the counter. It felt like a chef's table. The steak dish was cold despite the meat looking like it got a significant amount of heat. I figured for the price, the meat would come out hot. Overall, great experience. Everything on the menu seems like a winner.
One of my favorite restaurants in Texas. Upon multiple visits, the menu always remains ever changing. The food although looking simple is not at all.the dumplings stuffed with beef and cheese topped with butter and cheese, although upon initial response seem simple but they are far from that. The space is super cool, it sits what looks like a converted church. The kitchen is open late too, awesome place.Chef Justin and the crew are knocking it out of the park with this one.
Wow. Such amazing food. Everything we had was interesting, superbly cooked, and delicious. I'd never been to the area it's in and it's a really cool little pocket of Houston. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service. The restaurants interior is a bit odd. Our party of 8 sat in a room that is separate from the main restaurant, you had to go outside to get to it. Ambience was nice with vinyl record player in it. We had the chef do a 6 or course meal and everything was pretty good. I thought the wine selection could have been better...as in maybe some less pricier wines. But overall I would definitely recommend this place.
I personally prefer small menus but this one, not only is it very limited, but all options are non-traditional and not in a fancy or tasteful way. It seems they are trying too hard to be different, to the point that the food is not edible. I read it had a French influence but nothing about the menu is French. The place is also very small and can get suffocating. Our server was nice but other servers passing by would bump into you and not stop to apologize.
We ate there Saturday night, family style in a reserved room. What an encredible ambience. Very retro prihibition vibe. Chef picked our dishes and did not disappoint. Every single morsel was delicious. Very innovative. You'll definitely find something unique to try. Would go there regularly if I lived in Houston. Cannot recommend highly enough.
This was a great, chef inspired menu that was small enough NOT to overwhelm you. It was good that spoiled you, intrigued you and made you wonder how the flavors worked. Truly a fine dining delight. My favorites were the beef dumplings in butter sauce, and the panna cotta. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to see what Chef comes up with next
