My husband has been coming here for 5 years when he is in town for work...at least 2 weeks a month. We can for vacation and he was very excited to bring our son and me here to eat. The ENTIRE staff decided it was more important to go outside and hang out or stand behind the bar on their phones than wait on the 3 of us and 5 other people waiting to order, than to check if our food was done or bring out appetizers before the meal we waited over 45 minutes for. Then were extremely rude when we asked for drink refills and my food was wrong. I feel so bad for my husband, who just kept saying, this use to be the best and his favorite places to eat. DO NOT come here unless the get all of this fixed or it will make you angry and ruin what should be a wonderful place to be!
The staff is great, friendly and engaging. The atmosphere is pub-like. I have eaten here before and the food was good, but this time... I really wanted to like the steak special but the steaks were tough. Both the sirloin and T-bone were hard to cut, even with that big steak knife. Either marinate or buy a better cut of beef please.
My new fave low key spot for Breakfast lunch and or dinner and great drinks. Service was perfect just like the food! Please don't change. See ya sooner than later.
I love the Bull & The Bear! This place is such a cozy gem and the price is always right. The Daily Special menu has some real good finds on it and the staff will always steer you in the right direction on what to get. They also serve pub classics here that come out fresh, hot, and made with love. The tap selection here is fantastic and if you’re lucky, you may come on a live music night.This place is usually packed with expats and you can hear some fun accents as well. If you’re looking for a true pub experience then you should look no further than the Bull & Bear.
This place has consistently great food. Flavorful wing selection and thin crust pizza is scrumptious! They also have nightly specials. Taco Tuesday, steak night as well as the pizza and wings. Great burger selection and a variety of beer and liquor for everyone's taste.

Friendly, attentive staff, the blue cheese bacon burger was good, and the prices are good..i would definitely go back..
Good all American food, burgers, pizza, fries, etc. It is a bar and grill and their choice of libations is wide. Though they say they're a sports bar, the booze is more visible than the TV screens. Their sound system was playing Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Tull, etc. I will be returning.
I cannot say enough about how impressive this place is. First, the place is warm and inviting with its decor and ambiance. The staff are very very friendly, helpful, kind and happy. The patrons— with the name I did not expect to see very much diversity, boy was that wrong. It is very clear that people from all walks of life are welcome and appreciated here. The staff know most of the customers on a first name basis and show much respect to everyone. The menu! WOW! This is not typical pub fare or bar food! I am so impressed with the home cooked meal I received and I will be returning here on a regular basis when I want a large portioned, quality meal.
We were in town visiting for the Labor Day weekend and we were staying on westheimer so we found this place on google maps. Seat yourself and they bring you a menu. I would absolutely suggest the speciality cocktails and shots. We tried the Irish breakfast and the Lil Richie shots. I would 100% suggest the Irish breakfast, it had a strip of bacon in the drink!! Sooo good. I also had the Hurricane cocktail. We ordered the Cajun wings and fries and the chopped steak, green beans and mashed potato’s with gravy. The menu is very reminiscent of British pub food, my chopped steak tasted like my grandma made it! Our waiter was amazing and the bartender was a GOD! Our drinks were amazing. Amazing service. Hardly a soul in the building on a Sunday afternoon around 1-2pm. Quite affordable.
