Not many Mexican restaurants make their own tortillas in house so when these showed up with my meal, I instantly knew I was in the right place. The perfectly tender, yet chewy, slightly charred tortilla wasn't even the highlight. That sauce that smothered the blackened chicken and shrimp is what sent me to Tex-Mex heaven. Charro beans were amazing and their salsa Verde was as good as it gets. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.
This post refers to my experience with the waitress Damaris and her manager Alfredo. I ordered a specific item, was offered an additional item and was told it came with my meal. I clarified before I confirmed my order. I received my bill, which had the additional charge, so I inquired. The waitress said if I read the menu, I would have known it was an additional charge. However, that is not what she told me initially. The entire table backed me up. We spoke with the manager who came over with a poor attitude. He insinuated I did not read the menu as well. After a brief back and forth, he acted as if he did me a favor to adjust the price. He told me to just subtract the amount and he wasn't going to give me an updated ticket. I requested a new ticket. They were dismissive, condescending and unprofessional. There was no acknowledgement of error, an apology for the inconvenience or the lack of professionalism. I will not return to this establishment.
This place is amazing! Staff food portions service overall! Years of it being this way.Homemade corn and flour tortillas which is hard to find these days! The flavors of everything is so amazing! You won’t be disappointed with anything you try breakfast lunch or dinner! 10stars!
My husband and I have been regular patrons of this restaurant for over 15 years. The food and service are consistently good. On this visit I shared the Pescado Acapulco with my husband who ordered a seafood enchilada. The Acapulco had shrimp,and crab and is in a delicious garlic/ cilantro sauce. Our server Raul was friendly and efficient. Great wine pours with no extra charge and plenty of food left over for another meal at home!

I guess it's a good spot everyone should try at least once, but it seems to have lost its shine. Queso was good though!
This is the best Tex Mex in Houston. The service is good, everything from the tortillas to red / green dip sauce is great from the beginning. The service is fast and courteous, and the entrees are all good. I do suggest the Pollo del Mar as it has the sauce on top and I have never found another restaurant that can match it. The rice and beans are also good. Keep up the good work, we have made you a regular visit.

Food was & always good But their heater was broke today,, we went during lunch & it was very uncomfortable due to it being so cold. Please fix your heater, the waitress was so cold and customers also..
