One of the worst restaurants I have dined in since moving to the US. This place has no care and concern for what they do. There may be people who had great food at this place but as someone who is well versed with Indian cuisine this place should be the last place you want to dine in with your family based on the quality, flavor and price they charge for their Indian food. The chicken biryani doesn’t taste anywhere close to what i call a good biryani. My dish came with a chicken curry which was sweet more than spicy, with a piece of nan that was burned and tucked all the way to the last piece in the basket. When I complained the guy who was serving us basically hinted because you has the first two pieces and didn’t say anything was wrong the last piece though its burned and tastes like papad more than Nan cannot be replaced. The rice that complemented the curry had something in it which tasted like stones, i chewed the rice and basically had to spit it out and rinse my mouth. I didn’t complain about that as i am pretty sure what the answer would be. So for those who want to eat at this place check all your Nans thoroughly and ensure your rice is washed well enough or else you will be rushing to the restroom like I did. I am happy I didn’t bruise my mouth. The customer service is a big fat ZERO. Here you have to pay first before you get anything I guess i know why, I regret giving these guys even a tip. I am not putting my foot in this restaurant ever again.

Spicy Tikka Masala curry and garlic naan were delicious minus the cilantro that they add without warning (make sure you say no cilantro on everything you order bc it was everywhere). Also, pass on the roti 1/5.

Came here with a friend recently. Between the both of us, we had two Tikka Masalas, one with chicken and one with lamb. It came with a side of rice. We also got one basket of Garlic Naan, which was filling for both of us. The total cost came out to be $25.00 (or $11-12 per order). The Tikka Masala was rich, creamy, and flavorful. The spices really had a good kick. The rice was well cooked and seasoned well. The Garlic Naan was very soft and warm and complemented well with the dish. There was also a good assortment of drinks. I had the acai vanilla cream soda which was very delicious and sweet. The seating is open and clean, with no lines. The customer service was good!Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for those looking to try Indian food.

Tarka Indian Kitchen was indeed awesome experience. We went for lunch along with the kids.As we were there for first time, we waited for someone to come and attend us. Then I went to check on the same and got to know that there is a different process. You need to order first, get token number and sit on the table. Once your order is ready, they will serve you at the table. You don’t need to go and pickup the order. We ordered Malai Kofta and 2 garlic naan for 2 adults and we were full. Ordered paneer Biryani bowl for the kids. It was mild and my kids really enjoyed it. With the kids menu, you do get drink. We chose mango one and it turned out to be very tasty. Kids just loved it.The icing on the top was masala fries. Adults and kids both liked it. We liked so much and we ordered 2 more for to-go.This Indian restaurant has really reasonable price. Its must try if you are in or traveling to Houston.

First time trying Indian food ever, must say it was mighty god! Was looking forward to trying butter chicken for the first time and they don’t have it. They should definitely add it too their menu! Garlic Naan is a ++
